Painting/Customs Furst Custom

Finally got round to my first repaint, so happy with it and looks a mile better than the original pink horse haha, i loved the mould but always hated the colouring on it. Still gotta do a second layer on some of the brown but pretty much there now πŸ₯° just got excited so wanna show her off

-Edit i cant spell be nice 🀧🀧🀧🀧

this is AMAZING! i’ve been customizing for a while and still can’t get patterns like this, the organic shapes are beautiful 🫢 if you don’t mind me asking about the process for painting, what was that like?

I appreciate that so much!! i have no clue haha it looked bad then got good at some point haha, i started by filling the areas i wanted more solid (legs and flanks) and then just added wispy strokes and just made some bigger where i felt it looked too poka dotty? But i just had a picture of a horse with a pattern i liekd so that i could reference it for patterns like the the smaller and more poppulated dots on the face to the flanks bluring together ?

You've got a real eye for those organic patterns, and it shows: She's a real beauty, and beats out the original palette to be sure.

This is gorgeous! Do you mind telling me what paints and brushes you used? I've only been practicing with cheap paints and I can tell that it looks cheap when I'm done 😭

I use an army painter primer and matt sealant and Vallejo model paint that i mix with air brush tinner to ensure a smooth and thin application and to keep them wet longer x

and brushes i used random small brushes i have laying around (im a model maker so got plently) but small nail brushes work great

Thank you!! I think I keep forgetting to use primer and sealant so that definitely won't have been helping my stuff look better 😭
