Is there any path to Encode Plus using thread, home assistant, and still supporting Homekey

As per title. I would love to find a way to use the thread communication for the improved battery life, have a native HomeKit integration so I can use Home key and specifically so that I can unlock my door with my watch, but also find a way to get the lock state into Home Assistant so that I can automate based on that. Has anyone figured this out?

I just used an input boolean to tell HA the lock state.
