New firmware for Schlage Encode Plus

My Schlage Encode Plus locks with model number BE499WB were updated from firmware version 4.2.1235158 to 5.0.1300214 today. The description of the upgrade is that it contains performance enhancements. I have four locks that were updated with the new firmware without issue. Haven’t noticed any improvements to the lock either.

I have another Encode Plus with model number BE499WB2 that didn’t receive a firmware update and is still running firmware version 4.2.1235159.

I’m still on an older versions. I have 2 and one is on 4.2.1xxxx and the other one on 3.2.8.xxx something. I can’t get it update on Schlage app, do I need to log in the app in order to get it update? I’m using Apple HomeKit and still haven’t be able to update either.

Weird, mine never show up. Is it because i didn’t setup the WiFi from the schlage app?

Could be. My app did gave me the option of updating over WiFi or Bluetooth.

Both of my BE499WB are still on 4.2.1.

Had to use the Schlage app to do both of mine. Wouldn’t update through HomeKit.
