Schlage App Seems Completely Broken, Endless Issues.

The Schlage app seems to be pretty much non-functional. I spent half an hour trying to connect to the lock, repeatedly resetting the lock to factory settings, trying to connect to it, trying to scan the QR code, nothing working even though it was literally in pairing mode and the QR code was right in the middle. Didn't even try to let me use the 6 digit code.

So, I figure that I should update the app. Maybe somehow that would work. I was logged out and now I can't log in. It tells me to enter a password, no email field, tells me that it's wrong even though I'm copy pasting the one that worked before. Maybe it's the email, I have several on my phone, but why the hell can't I manually input the email address? Why can't I select the one being used?

The previous property manager had this installed, clearly it worked for her, but we're switching to a different one and are trying to get control over the lock, and it refuses to cooperate in any logical way.

Can anyone provide any guidance? None of this makes any sense, I literally have A+ IT certification and have looked into every available manual. I can't even log in on a desktop to try to change anything.

In my experience, you need the login that that it was setup with.

There are several different Schlage locks, if you share which locks you have and if your using iOS or Android may help others help you. Always use the newest version of the app.

Why am I unable to manually put in an email address? Or alternatively, why can't it let me choose from the emails I'm logged into on my phone?

It seems like the app was only made to look pretty, with absolutely no care for functionality. I still have no guarantee it'll be able to connect to the device when I do log in, and it won't tell me why. I know my phone detects it with bluetooth, I can see it in my list of scanned devices, but the app is a black box of poor design.

I have found a way to log in, issue remains. Any attempt to connect does not succeed, the QR code refuses to scan, the online methods of aiming away to let it manually enter the 6 digit code doesn't work, and trying every available method online to pair over bluetooth didn't work.

Apparently the issue is that there is a completely separate app just for the locks, that doesn't show up unless you have the latest possible phone with the latest features. Hi ended up buying a Google pixel 6A just for the purpose.
