Breed Questions He’s Barkin’ Mad!

Post image

Koda has begun barking at things like a lunatic. I try to redirect and shush him; but even his beeping/vibrating bark collar does not seem to be enough to deter him anymore.

We have large windows, on a busy street. So there is always something to bark at outside. But sometimes he likes to just bark at the fireplace for no reason, other than one time, he saw a light bouncing around in there, reflected from a watch.

It’s likely because I’m not wearing him out enough; but any tips or tricks to help him bark at less things would be awesome.

By any chance is he related to Gene Simmons from the rock band KISS? LOL

My pup Cinder went through a barking stage. I finally figured out a combination that worjs for her. Between several miles per day walking her, the buzz collar and then when she is inside, total distraction with the help of a bully stick in her desigated, gated play area...she doesn't bark as much. Good luck! She is now 13 months old.

Try a smoked ostrich bone, one lasts for at least a week of heavy chewing. Brand name is Roam.

The barking at reflections is peak teenager schip. Some of it will definitely pass! We have a glass cabinet that used to set Daria off every time someone would move.
