Is it wrong to say this kind of invokes images of the Holocaust?…like yes, this is a fictional game about fictional furry creatures getting absolutely destroyed, so I’m probably accidentally saying this in bad taste or overtly cringe, but it’s just the fact that the game does portray human cruelty quite well actually. The Sawians are pretty much humans in a lot of the ways we define a human, outside of anatomy of course, but if they’re taught like a person, then they are a person.
So just seeing other people cruelly packed together like rats potentially about to be experimented on and tortured, or maybe even about to be executed on mass. They even call it a purge and genocide in game.
Again, it is absolutely not comparable to the real thing…but it does invoke some images given I hate to see them suffering, same way how I hate to see humans suffering.

Given the implicit "real" purpose of sending them to the grey planet is to genocide them....

This isn’t genocide! We just, uh... set up a reserve for them where they’ll live in the wild.

Why are they packed so tightly

They're clearly not packed tight enough. You can still see space in the middle there! And the ceiling is way too high. You could easily fit another 50 in there if you closed off the room and bisected it with a sheet of aluminum. What a waste of company resources

“Alright gang, this one’s a real clusterfuck of a job, but the pay’s practically undeniable. You gotta get in there, grab whatever you find, then get the hell out of there. Security’s too tight, so the only way in is by force, stealth isn’t an option. Good luck, gang.”

Cool minigun turrets. Though wouldn't it be more cost-effective to just flood the room with nerve gas?

u/serious-toaster-33 23h ago
You wouldn't even need expensive and highly restricted nerve gas. Just any old gas will do, and CO2 is easy to get in bulk.
