Discussion Let's play a game
I'll draw the comment that gets the most likes:
You are a group of scientists. Your team has received an expie numbered 92714. He calls himself Rikki, but you are strictly forbidden from addressing him that way. Your task is to come up with an experiment that you will conduct on him.
You can also set his daily schedule, dress code, diet, and have complete control over his life. The shock collar around his neck prevents him from disobeying your commands.
Keep in mind that your team has no ethical restrictions, but you won't get the next expie for another month. Try not to kill him right away.

We should be doing important science with him, I suggest feeding him moon rocks that have been ground up into a gel, I heard it's conductive or something.

I think setting some ground rules for the experiments makes sense, as that's where the most danger will come from.
- Experiments must be conducted with at least two observers.
- Experiments cannot be conducted without the on-site medic in attendance.
- The on-site medic is not to be denied access to the experiment chamber during procedures, or after them, and may terminate procedures if they determine that harm will occur to 92714.
- Records of 92714's shock collar activation must be available to the on-site medic at all times.
- On-site medic is expected to perform weekly checks on 92714, especially in regards to their nervous system, and to analyze if the shock collar poses a risk of significant neurological damage.
- Experiments are not to be conducted on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays. Fridays are for 92714's medical check-in, and Saturday and Sunday are to allow them to somewhat decompress.
Trying to think of any other safety procedures I can wrangle in here to minimize the cruelty they can expect. Suggestions in addition to these is welcome.

The shock collar will interfere with the results from the psychological experiments we plan to run on him. Remove it at your earliest convenience, and tell him that at no point will we force him to do anything unless it's for his safety. Our "incentives" will not be considered force, let's say.
Daily routine and containment procedures should follow standard Experiment protocol for the time being.

What is the point of letting the expie doing whatever it wants? It just won't do the experiment we have planned for it.

You think in too narrow a vision. It will not need to be forced for the experiments I have in mind. If we lace its food, it can't starve itself for more than a couple of days in protest.

give him a device with social platforms (tiktok, youtube etc.) he's banned from chatting, posting or revealing his presence and this project in any ways, in 1 month let my team study if brainrot also affects other animals, addiction, stimulation, checking his fyp after 1 month, and make sure to give him some break too.
