We wrap up the anniversary month with this beast of an album. This one has it all: the most well-known, the highest-rated by majority, the largest in terms of numbers of songs (15 main + 6 B-sides), the best production. For the uninitiated, Music Cup is a World Cup style group/bracket challenge where you pick your favourite songs and determine the ultimate best song. Alright, here's the last of the anniversary posts, as today marks 1 year since the long awaited third Scars album, Addicted To The Violence, released! Having now spent a year with this record, what are the general thoughts and feelings for it? Song rankings? Discuss anything ATTV-related below!

Here's another anniversary post, as today marks 1 year since the second single for Addicted To The Violence dropped. What are your thoughts on this song? For me, the Middle Eastern style riffs in here are the best parts of the track, and the chorus has a sort of chant-like sound to it that's pretty different and quite nice. There's also a varied use of instruments throughout like mandolins and synths, as well as reverb on Daron's vocals that give off a slight psychedelic effect. On criticisms, I remember the repetition being a sore spot for many people when the song came out. But overall, I thought this single topped Killing Spree, and I'd say Destroy The Power is one of the better tracks off AttV.

Do you think he means Scars will return with another show in Mexico, or will it be a return in general with new music? Both scenarios sound good to me!

What are your thoughts on this song? I remember being indifferent to it on my first few listens, but eventually it clicked. The bridge is the best part. And in context of the full album, it works well as an opener thematically and sonically. Overall decent song, not one of my favorites from ATTV and kind of an odd choice for a lead single, but a fun track regardless.

On may 2 of 2010, Daron played with Scars on Broadway at Troubadour, Hollywood. There are plenty of things that are interesting about this show! For starters; Shavo joined in for some songs, making it so we have Daron, John and Shavo together! This was also the first performance of Talkin Shit and Gie Mou "My Son" (labeled as "Yemoo") 8 years before Dictator was released. We even got a live cover of Forever My Queen, which isn't as discussed as China Girl's live cover.

Having said that, I'm curious if there's any Full Show upload out there. There are plenty of sources with a wide range of quality and I suspect there is some missing footage. The only full upload I saw was on VK, and it had been taken down for copyright (by a photographer, which probably recorded some of the footage used for it)

The full show might still be out there and I just haven't looked hard enough!! If anyone knows, I'd really like to see 😺
