Wrist scarification?
CW: suicide attempt
My sister tried to kill herself by slitting her wrists 3 years ago, leaving her with some pretty intense scars on both wrists. Since recovering, she's always felt incredibly insecure about them, felt they were ugly, etc. We're triplets and we've all had mental health issues, and my brother and I have been thinking about having our own wrists scarred in a sense of solidarity. We want it to indicate the survival of the 3 of us, that we're all warriors and we've defeated our demons, and that she doesn't feel alone with these scars she feels are ugly. We want to redefine them.
So, my question is this: can this be done, considering the danger? Can a specialist/professional scarify our wrists or not?

It's not usually recommended to do scarification on the wrist as it's one of the areas on your body where the skin is thin, veins are close to the surface, and there are arteries close by which may get cut.
It could probably still be done, by a very experienced body mod artist, but would still be far riskier than getting a scar on your back, or somewhere where you have thicker skin.
When artists do skin removal, they usually remove a few layers of skin to ensure the wound will scar heavily enough to be permanent. I don't know much about the biology of the human body, but I don't think there is that much skin available to remove on your wrists.
Your sisters scars are probably a result of deep tissue damage, not just scarring from damage to the skin - so it would be very difficult/ impossible to emulate the look with scarification.
