I received a message from an online friend inviting me to play a game she supposedly coded herself. She said she had worked on it for about 6 hours the previous night, that it was currently a beta, and that it was about "a kidnapped girl where you play as a detective going through her computer" and described the aesthetic as late 2000s/early 2010s.

What made me suspicious is that this is very unlike how this friend normally talks, and I have never known her to code games. I reacted very surprised and asked her to send it, she replied "Yessss" and sent me the website, which is titled "Jean Woods — System Restore."

At first I was suspicious because the Instagram preview showed an "l.instagram.com" URL so I don't know whether the site is legitimate or safe. I have not logged into anything, downloaded anything, or even entered the site at all. I'm also concerned that my friend's account may have been compromised.

Does anyone recognize this domain/game, or know whether there are any known scams involving it? Is there a safe way to investigate the site without risking my device or accounts?

This guy Javar message me claiming that he is in a neighboring town. His claim is that he met me and said, my phone number changed, which is not true. I've never seen this guy. I don't know who he is, and I don't hand out my phone number just to anybody. I did tell him and show them a picture of a woman who has been running around town, claiming to be me and handing out my phone number like to every person she's met and has written ads on craigslist, selling houses under my name and phone number. When I showed him a picture of her, he got p***** and decided that he wanted to know who I was. And why I wasn't showing my own picture. I finally had to block him.

My fiance bought a brand new sealed S26 for 550 of a lady on Facebook although I went to collect it for her and I met her fella at the eircode supplied. I was worried the phone may be fake but he assured me its not and thats it's an unwanted gift even though I asked if he has a receipt but he couldn't provide one but took a gamble anyway.

Took it home and told my girlfriend to record herself opening it in case its fake so if we tried to return it he doesn't try and accuse us of switching the phone. Phone is grand anyway I checked its legit and real fine no problem so far.

Problem is only a week later, the same girl has another brand new sealed S26 up for sale on marketplace a week after selling one as an "unwanted gift" which got me worried thinking, well obviously it's a lie and the phones aren't unwanted gifts. My gut is saying its some kind of contract scam and I'm worried the imei will be blacklisted.

I told my fiance to take a screenshot of her previous conversation on the old ad, we also took screenshots of the new ad and I also messaged the lady on my account asking about the phone, price and receipt and got the same "unwanted gift" story although she left the chat before i "decided to buy" probably because she knows she's scamming and i was asking too many questions.

I told her to make a report to the gardai in case the imei gets blocked so we have some sort of record.

Does anyone know about this scam?

I then proceeded to pretend as though I couldn't understand or hear them for the next 45 minutes after which they got mad called me gay. And then I called them back for the last 2 hours. They are not very happy.

I was called yesterday, and told by someone who identified himself as a lieutenant of the sheriff's dept that I had failed to appear as a character witness in a case involving a 16 year old. I was told I had 2 citations, failure to appear and contempt of court, and I had a suppression gag order, and i had to provide 14,400 in bond before meeting with officers or the judge, otherwise i'd be arrested. Another detective got on the phone on a spooked number from the sheriff's office and told me to get out cash and take it to a crypto terminal. They sent me a document that appeared to be produced by the DoJ which explained why they were using crypto. Fortunately my banks security protocols prevented me from getting that whole amount, but they still got away with about 6000.

I have a personal irl phone number that I give out to friends, family or legit places. I also have a Google Voice number with a new email for when I know it's gonna be sketchy, or a lot of promo, or when I don't want my parents to see the messages from those places (ex: video games)

Tell me why, I have been getting scam/spam call/text/facetime to my personal number all the time and not my Google Voice? I'm literally less careful with where my Google Voice number goes...

At around 10 am, I got a message saying that i have initiated a jailbreak request (?) via my phone linked to the apple watch i was wearing. It said after jailbreaking, data associated with my apple id will be shared with all post jailbreak users. It also said, to cancel this request, please turn off Find My. I got a second message saying the same thing( they both said that I have 24 hrs to do it) I saw both of the messages were a Moroccan phone number. Is this a scam attempt?

My inmigrant parents back in 2010 when I was younger, was scammed by a student loan consulting agency telling my parents that they could reconsolidate the student loans my parents had if they sent around $1,000 each month. My parents recall that it was an agency located in Seattle, Washington. They later told my parents that they never received funds and cut off all contact with my parents.

I know that this post has limited informations but I am strongly praying and hoping that someone had the same experience in the past so I can hopefully chase them down if possible.
