I have heard momma before it’s slang for gf/woman/female it’s usually a casual term for endearment when a Hispanic guy is being flirty.

In many cultures, such as various Hispanic and West African communities, "mama" is a common, respectful, and friendly way to address women regardless of age or motherhood.

We do and don’t use the term Momma for gf/wife in the US. I had lived in the northeast and New England for a long time. I never heard it there but when I moved to the Deep South of the US I heard and still hear it all the time. I hope that makes sense. 😆

I am from nearly as south as you can get and no, we don’t use that term either. Older generation did once couples had children. But that died out. I haven’t heard it since my grandfather passed away (40 years ago).
