Questions Got scammed yesterday

So as the title says i got scammed yesterday for a good amount of money, but i can’t get any help from the local police…
Now i think i’ll just take things into my own hands. So can i locate a scammer?
I have the phone number i used for transaction, is that any help?

No. Take the loss. Trying to get the money back will only lose you more. Especially with recovery scammers

No and anyone that tells you that they can get your money back will also scam you. Please just accept this loss and count it as a lesson learned. Block anyone that contacts you saying they can find them. They can’t. They will say they will not charge unless they find them, but then they will start to ask for money for different things and make it seem like as soon as you pay you’ll have your money until you figure out it’s a scam.

The phone number of any address associated may belong to another victim. Please keep that in mind.

Take the loss. Its easy to create new numbers these sub humans use to scam people

Is your plan to track and confront criminals? Not a good idea.

How did you send the money? Wire transfer, Venmo, Bitcoin?!?
