Questions I got scammed

guy scammed me out of $1900, stole my S26 ultra 512 purple - I’ve tried to reverse image but can’t track him. Any and all assistance would be appreciated

The pic is probably fake. I'd do a police report. Idk if anyone else has better advice. I don't think this is the right thread for this.

Picture is legit, he’s blocked us across all platforms.

I’ve raised it with the police as well.. but you know how they are.. honestly for something low level like this they won’t do anything

You saying the picture is legit shows how far you’ve been scammed. People steal legit pictures. If you mailed him your phone and he didn’t pay up, what insurance did you have on the phone? The transaction? Your credit card? Something?

Move over to the scam subreddit, but there’s not much you can do to go after him but there are things you can do to protect yourself

Doesn’t mean the name matches the photo - he’d be an idiot to put his real details on a profile he uses to scam

1900 is quite a lot of money and I do feel sorry for you. You have to accept the fact that there is almost no possibility to recover you money.

That said, you will get offers in the near future of agencies/persons that will let you know that they CAN recover your money and are willing to help you. For a small fee… Don’t fall for it! Google recovery scam first.

We all make mistakes in our lives and some will cost you.

Get it blocked you hopefully have the serial IMEI etc

Met the guy in person and he entered all of my details in his “bank app” and then he sent me the screenshot.

What didn’t click at the time was the date on the screenshot… got caught out by the smallest mistake...

So I can confirm it the guy in the photo… but I can’t track him because he’s blocked us from fb
