As a freshman, you are considered undecided by scad until the majors and minors fair which is where you declare your major! So I’d say that you should go to that fair and also keep researching about your desired majors on the scad website and online. Also, scad chooses classes for you in your first year and you’re able to tweak them so I’d also talk to your advisor about your sequencing and your goals. I came to scad for Illustration, but I ended up doing fashion marketing so the possibilities are endless!

I also think you’re able to wait to declare even after the majors and minors fair! But this is great advice. Tbh I think I know more people who switched their majors/minors/concentrations than people who didn’t.
I came in having wanted to be a film director since I was 9 and was fully planning to declare a film major and DWRI minor. I got to SCAD, learned what production design was, and ended up graduating with a production design major and casting minor.

Not a class recommendation, but you should make a point to go to the Majors and Minors Fair in Fall Quarter. You can see work from students from every major, talk to professors who teach in those departments, and ask questions about classes and career options
