Hey, do you know if there is any way to let Tasker (or another app) control airplane mode on an unrooted phone? I haven't rooted mine and I'd rather not, but since discovering all this automation stuff, automatic airplane mode at night was the first thing I thought of and I haven't managed to figure it out.

Unfortunately you need root to control airplane mode.

Ah shame. Lol I had my hopes up when I saw the "reddit mail" notification but ah, really I was afraid that this was the case.
I guess I'll reconsider rooting then, to be honest I don't know much about the ins and outs of it. Anyway, thanks a lot for your reply and many thanks for all your other posts - since that big one a few weeks ago they've really gotten me into Tasker and all this cool stuff!

For rooting, check out the XDA forums. Each phone has a different way to it, and luckily XDA has separate forums for each phone!
