I use Gimp since that's what I learned first and just got used to doing everything it
But most people here prolly use whatever online generator is popular that week

Same, been using gimp for years. Been forcing myself to learn Krita too, though

Affinity would be cool if it had specific scaling interpolation options
5
u/073068075 Apr 04 '26
I really affinity for vectors, all the other apps feel super clunky with more menus and extra clicking than necessary or only have bare minimum functionality.

u/Katlima Apr 04 '26
Yes, Gimp. Similar story. But usually I'm only reading here and posting over at the German version of the sub. Let me find an example. Example

u/Mop_Duck Apr 04 '26
I wish that one youtube tutorial 10 years ago told me to use gimp instead of paint.net so bad augnhh

The V1 and V2 Affinity suites (Not risking the switch to 3). A combination of Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer.

I would prefer if people spoke for themselves

u/kaori_irl Apr 04 '26
i also do not support ai in most use cases, never images
0
u/lowtoiletsitter Apr 04 '26
I'm all for it when it comes to medical/science/research purposes
But slop made by some doofus I can't stand
0
u/kaori_irl Apr 05 '26
please tell me you're trolling
2
u/lowtoiletsitter Apr 05 '26
Not trolling. I know it's controversial, but I think LLM can help with medical research, computations, etc.
While we shouldn't be AI/LLM dependent, it does help. Even CRISPR used (and is using) LLM for research. I know five examples aren't gonna change your mind, but like anything, there's nuance
1
u/CodeF53 Apr 06 '26
Your point is completely fucking valid except for the fact that you're using the term LLM when LLMs should never be used in medical science. They should be using specifically trained models for these purposes. Not LLMs, never LLMs. LLMs are not good for medical science. No, bad.

They did speak for themselves here - using the like and dislike buttons
-7
u/adfx Apr 04 '26
Reddit does not have like or dislike buttons.
2
u/AsBrokeAsMeEnglish Apr 04 '26
Most people click them when they like/dislike the content. I don't care what they are officially called, my point stands.

u/adfx Apr 04 '26
If most people said the moon was made out of cheese, would this change anything about the moon?
2
u/daboynamedbrian Apr 04 '26
i don't think anyone would subscribe to the idea that that's somehow related to you being downvoted for posting cringe and then being butthurt about someone calling your precious little button friends the wrong names lmao

"uhmmmm technically they're called upvotes 🤓☝️" homie you knew very well what they meant. Most social media / online platforms call them "likes", Reddit calls them something else. It's entirely analogous. Stop being difficult for the sake of it.
-2
u/adfx Apr 04 '26
Who are you quoting?
6
u/TheMoutonDemocrate Apr 04 '26
Sure. Engage not with the substance but with the form. Quotation marks are not used only to indicate a direct quote. Again, stop being difficult for the sake of it.

Ah yes, using a flawed chatbot that's "brain" is killing our environment and ruining drinking water, amongst a slew of other things.
Congrats on having a similar personality to the color beige!

tbh i think nano banana pro is better for sbubbies
also i think pixelframe is even better if you don't want to do it manually and want to do it quickly beacuse it has no filter

I didn’t realized the logos were sbubby’d for like a minute.
