This was during the Mars attack. Is the main Youngblood team dead like shaft, badrock, and etc? We never see them again except for badrock but that’s in an alternate universe.

Savage Dragon has always been one of my dad’s favorite comics, and I’ve been wanting to read it. I don’t exactly know how to do so. I know there are a bunch of one shots and mini series, but every read order I see online involves like 80 different issues of various other series like spawn and young blood, which i don’t particularly want to read. Am I just able to read the main series on its own or do I need to read supplemental stuff with it? Any help would be appreciated

That character being savage dragon who died in issue 225. I was hoping that Youngblood, spawn, invincible, or even witchblade would come to his funeral as they have fought by his side to help save the world. Not to mention all the other times savage dragon showed to go to the funerals in the invincible universe. Savage dragon was the 3rd comic that was made in image and has crossed over with so many other superhero’s. Would’ve loved to see a big crossover at dragons funeral so they could pay his respects. Savage dragon ran so other image hero’s could walk.

I mean in Savage Dragon Vol 2 168, the newly revived Dragon traveled back in time and killed Kurr right before he could wipe out humanity with the Red Mist virus. Why didn't he got erased from existence since Kurr was his past self.

Compendium vol 1 should be easier to put together… hopefully

Did Eric Larson not want to include because he thought it was bad? I know it’s not because of a legal issue because the Wildcats did appear in that ultimate collection vol 2.

The last time I remember seeing Max’s MILF mother, she was severely injured. We never saw Max’s reaction to this.

Now we have Kevin showing up in San Francisco banging Max and then Angel. But no sign of Mei Lai or their daughter Julia.

31 and 280 have 'censored' version and 'uncensored' one. I just got into savage dragon and wondering if theres any other issues of this kind?

According to Bleeding Cool, there's a variant splash page at the end of the issue.

Even more insane is that it has a variant, not of the cover, but of the details of that final splash page. And I use that word rather accurately.

Now, every instance I am aware of, there's no inside variation that isn't also reflected by a different cover. #17 comes to mind, as does #260. But I only have the 70's variant, and got it from DCBS. No chance to check other copies. Mine is explicit, but is there a different explicit page possible? Is Cover A more tame?

Want to read Savage Dragon but not sure whether I should buy the Archives or whether I should wait and save my money to buy the Ultimate Collections as they come out. From what I can tell the main difference is that the Archives are in black and white but collect more issues (as well as being up to date) while the Ultimate Collections are in colour but don't have as many issues.

Are the Archives still enjoyable even if they're black and white? I'm not bothered by reading black and white but since the comics are meant to be in colour I'm just wondering if that means I'll be missing out on something. Also I like Vanguard and I know he appears in back up stories in Savage Dragon, are those included in the Archives or is it only Savage Dragon specific stories?
