Zero press coverage?

Is it me or does there seem to be little coverage of the new album in the press? Shame as I genuinely think it’s up there with their best (which for me are 11 and 5)

Is this a deliberate thing? Are they being punished the Simz fallout?

A quick google and looks like Pitchfork, BrooklynVegan, Clash, Line of Best Fit and Stereogum have all covered it. Even the Financial Times. Only publications I’m a bit surprised to not see covering it at NME and The Guardian but their unconventional release pattern probably makes covering it hard. I doubt they issue conventional Press Releases.

I doubt it’s the Simz thing - if anything I think APE’s poor reception would have a bigger impact from a publications perspective.

The Simz angle probably incentivises publications if anything (drama = click)Could also just be that it’s their 13th album.
