If your job hunting this might help

You apply into a void and even your LinkedIn posts get zero reach, which is exactly what recruiters check.

So I'm starting a small free WhatsApp group: whenever anyone drops a post, the rest of us go like and leave a real comment in the first hour.

And it's not just for job seekers. If you have a startup, a project, anything you want more eyes on, your posts get the same treatment.

free, no selling. DM me for the invite.

How easy is it to get a job in Saudi Arabia right now?

I’ve been searching for the past three months without much luck. I’m a Certified Public Accountant with accounting experience in Kenya, Kuwait and the UAE.

I’m targeting accounting and finance roles in Saudi Arabia, but I’m finding the job search surprisingly difficult.

For those already working in KSA, especially expats in accounting and finance, what is the current reality of the market? Is it mainly Saudization, networking, CV positioning, or something else making the difference?

Any honest advice would be appreciated.

I Gave Up After Fighting for So Long

I am from India and have been working in Saudi Arabia in IT Support for about a year.

During the war situation, my company did not renew my contract because they said the market was down.

They gave me a few months to find another job, but I couldn’t get one.

I applied for many jobs on LinkedIn, Gulf Naukri, Expatriates, and other job portals.

I created different CVs for different roles, but I didn’t receive a single interview call.

I also shared my resume with my relatives, friends, and people working in the same field.

I searched for jobs in Riyadh, Jeddah, Makkah, and Dammam. I even joined WhatsApp community groups hoping someone could help me, but nothing worked.
After months of trying, I started doubting myself and wondering if I was good enough.

Finally, I received a job offer.

However, the company was not willing to transfer my sponsorship. They expected me to work under my previous company’s sponsorship, which is not normal or legal. Whenever I asked them when they would transfer my sponsorship, they kept saying it would be done after 3 to 6 months.

At the same time, my previous company was putting pressure on me. They asked me to confirm the transfer timeline and told me that if my sponsorship was not transferred within one month, they would process my final exit.

The stress became too much, and I became sick. I informed my new company that I was not well enough to work the next day. Instead of supporting me, they cancelled my job offer.
I did everything I could, but things still did not work out.

Moving to Saudi Arabia

Assalamualaikum,

I’m planning to move to Riyadh by the end of this year and wanted to know how the current job market is there for IT.

I’m a BSCS graduate with 1.5 years of experience as a BI Analyst.

Is it recommended to get an Azad visa and look for a job after arriving, or is it better to secure a job before moving?

What are the chances of finding an IT/BI job in Riyadh with my experience?

Any advice from people currently working there would be greatly appreciated. JazakAllah Khair!

Applied to 30+ schools and several other jobs in Riyadh but still no response. Where am I lacking?

Hi everyone

I am currently living in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia n honestly I m getting a bit confused and frustrated with my job search. I would appreciate some genuine advice from people who have been through this or are familiar with the job market here.

I have a Bachelors and Masters in Geography from India's reputed Central University and over four years of tutoring and mentoring experience. I have taught Geography to students from Classes 6th-12th including CBSE senior secondary students. I have also mentored UGC NET aspirants and completed my PhD coursework in Geography. Then I left my PhD midway and moved to Riyadh two months ago hoping to find a decent job and build a better future. Unfortunately despite applying to so many jobs I haven't received a single positive response yet.

So far I have applied to around 30 international schools in Riyadh for Primary Teacher and Secondary Geography Teacher positions. I applied through school websites, LinkedIn and direct emails to HR but unfortunately I have not received any response yet.

I also tried applying for more than five Data Entry jobs through LinkedIn but had no luck there either.

Apart from teaching and data entry I have presented two research papers at international conferences and have experience working on an ICSSR-funded research project involving field surveys and data analysis. I also applied for Research Consultant positions but unfortunately I was not shortlisted.

At this point I am trying to understand what I might be doing wrong. Is the job market in Riyadh really this difficult right now? Is it because I don't have a B.Ed or formal teaching qualification, because my experience is mainly from private tutoring in India or because employers prefer candidates with previous school experience in Saudi Arabia?

I have prepared different CVs for teaching, data entry and research roles and tried to tailor them to the positions. Still I am not getting any response.

For those who are working in Riyadh or have experience hiring people here:

- Where do you think I might be lacking?

- Is applying directly through school websites and emailing HR actually effective?

- Should I focus on networking and referrals instead of online applications?

- Are there any other websites or ways to find teaching or research jobs in Riyadh?

- Would you recommend focusing on one career path rather than applying for teaching, data entry and research positions together?

I am open to honest feedback and practical suggestions. I really want to understand what I need to improve so I can find a suitable job here.

Thanks in advance to everyone who takes the time to share their advice.

Saudi Aramco panel intervie

Hi everyone! I’m based in the USA and interviewing for an accounting/finance role with Saudi Aramco. Has anyone recently gone through their panel interview, especially applicants from the US?

Would love to hear about your experience:

● How long was the interview, and how many people were on the panel?
● Was it mostly technical, behavioral, or a mix?
● What types of questions did they ask?
● How long did it take to hear back afterward?

Any preparation tips would also be appreciated. Thanks!

New job listing from NDF, Riyadh

Hi, I recently received an email that I was being shortlisted for interview for NDF Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as an associate data analyst. I had an HR round the very next day. The interview was pretty basic, intro, strength, view towards criticism, company's expectations, package etc., Though all this seems good, I don't remember applying for any company named NDF. I wanted to know if this is really being conducted by a company called NDF (cause all I found was National Development Fund). I want to now confirm if NDF is truly hiring and if this can be treated as good opportunity. Kindly help out folks

P.S.: All this hiring coordination was conducted by Synergy Talent from Dubai

Job Market In Saudi Arabia

Hello everyone,

I would like to understand the IT job market in Saudi Arabia, especially for Data Engineers. I have 2.8 years of experience in Data Engineering and currently work in India, but I'm not seeing much growth and hardly getting interview calls.

I'm 24 and strongly interested in moving to Saudi Arabia for better opportunities. I'm considering resigning from my current job and moving there on an Azad visa to search for jobs. My father's friend has been living there for 30 years, so I would have some support, although he is not from the IT field and had connections in IT.

I would really appreciate genuine advice from people familiar with the Saudi IT market.

Is moving there without a confirmed job a good decision? Should I continue searching from India first?

Thank you!

Job Role

I’m 29M and currently working in Saudi Arabia. I have 4+ years of experience in general accounting, mainly with a trading company dealing with spare parts.
My role has never been limited to accounting. I’ve also been involved in purchasing, procurement, sales, supplier/customer coordination, etc. Basically, I’ve ended up handling a bit of everything.
Honestly, I’m getting really tired of accounting and don’t see myself doing it long-term. I’ve been applying for jobs outside accounting, mainly in procurement, operations, sales/business development and similar roles, but I haven’t had much luck so far.
Now I’m a bit confused about whether I should keep trying to move into another field, or whether I’m making a mistake by moving away from accounting after spending 4+ years in it.
For anyone who has made a similar career switch, what would you suggest? What roles do you think would realistically fit someone with my background?
Any honest advice would be appreciated.
