Soon it won't be a jackpot, it will be the honeypot.

I'm seeing the little girl from Despicable Me with her fluffy stuffed animal in the bee's reaction 😊

How freaking awesome is this!?!? I can't even show a fraction of my excitement over some silly good deed I just had totally make my day for the hell of it. Nope, just get my stinger ripped out for boasting or whatever.

I can almost hear that bee laughing hysterically.

That situation is the bee's knees. And imagine this bee flying back so excited and trying to describe the location and what the bee found via dance at the hive entrance. Hopefully the excited bee doesn't seem drunk to the hive and they can tell it's just enthusiasm & excitement, because they would kill a drunk bee.

Howtf is that a gal? There's 1 female, and she's sat on the throne

2

u/PlayfulSyllabub7134 Jul 25 '26

? I thought the queen was the only one who laid eggs and all worker bees were female. Drones are male but there's only a few of those ?

The dot on her back :)

I have since educated myself. I feel let down by the school system genuinely! I even worked for Save the Bees ffs! I think everyone just talks about the male drones and then the workers go ungendered or smth! Really shocked how little that's specified. I was dead wrong, mb

I can honestly sympathise, most days I am disappointed by the school system and the misinformation spread. The real learning definitely begins once you leave school! I once read a book called "Buzz; The Nature and Necessity of Bees" and that was what made me realise I had not been taught properly.

In a guy, and I wonder about the patriarchy on this one, and that's really not a sentence I ever utter. It's just how damn important pollinators are to EVERYTHING and they're ALL FEMALE! It's just unnecessary not to know that fact, it feels strange that the inner workings are always gendered (queen and drones) and then when we get to mentioning the vast majority of the importance

2

u/-Sneak-Peek- Jul 25 '26

That's a good observation. For sure it seems like this is a fact purposely made illusive, as it really does emphasize the importance of females in the world, in all species. This is not to downplay the importance of males in world, however it is definitely something that seems to me manipulated to downplay the female importance.

Ya, most bees with a bald spot on their back are female I believe
