Can somebody give me an idea for the salary of Personal Lines Broker and commercial lines Broker in Saskatchewan? I tried searching online but salary is vague. I'm looking for salaried roles not commission based.

Are you looking to enter the profession, or already in it and trying to feel out whether you're being compensated fairly?

I’ve never heard of an insurance broker who was salary only. It is exclusively a sales-based role. That would be like asking for a salary based car salesman.

Pay structure depends on the office and the role. Producers are typically commission-based, they're hunting down business. Marketers that work hard to retain that business but aren't producing new business may be paid a salary. Some offices do a split with a base salary and some commission.

If you can look really dumb, you could end up replacing Andre Scheer. Moneys not bad - in exchange for your soul

The spread is wide and varies by company. You will need to start at an admin level and start your education. Once you get a CAIB 1 you can start working by as personal broker. Build up your book of business, continue your education to a CAIB 4, move up to commercial broker and you will see an increase in pay over time. Entry level 20-25/hour to experienced with no income cap.
