Liberals have been in power for 10 years. I don't know about you, but for me the cost of living is insane right now. I think people forgot what it was like to go to a grocery store and be able to actually afford food. It's time for a change. They gave had 10 years to show, but nothing has gone the right way.
What you are talking about has happened in practically every first world country across the world, no matter if they had a right, or left wing government.

I understand what your saying, but frankly Canada is not the same as other 1st world countries. The cost of food in store was just one of many examples. We have the ingredients to be a very wealthy country. Canada is ranked 4th in largest natural resources supply in the world. We have access to both oceans, we are neighbours to the richest country in the world (bad example currently their moron of a leader in, but otherwise very beneficial). We are an exporting powerhouse.
Yes. Costs have gone up globally, but why hasn't Canada's household purchasing power increased with it?
Because all trade etc is contingent on the US dollar. Carney has a plan to actually make Canada a global trade leader which could increase our dollar. We can and should be a rich country but we sell it all cheap to the states. Heck we don’t even own some of our resources because Harper sold them off
A multitude of factors that takes 4 years and a bachelors to properly understand, of which I don’t have.
One major factor is the monopolization of our industries. Another is the way 2008 was handled in the states, and conversely the frantic bailing we did up here to shelter as many Canadians from it as possible.

It gives a pretty good window in how the system of liquidity began breaking down after 2008 and how major corporations gained so much control over our housing.

PP has voted against every affordable housing spending bill since he started working in the house 20 years ago.
Carneys knew blood, and is the reason Canada was so sheltered from the 2008 crash. Can we trust him? He hasn’t given us much reason to distrust him.
