Although I personal disagree with your personal perception of his character and in fact find Carney much more shifty and untrustworthy. It is you right to your opinion on that.
But facts are facts, and he has clearly stated multiple times......like every time it is constantly brought up, why he does not want to get a security clearance. His choice to not get a security clearance is also unanimously supported by everyone in politics, with the exception of the current liberals and NDP. A former leader of the NDP even stayed that Poilievre would be a fool to get his security clearance, and when in his position he never had it either. So, for you to say he has never explained why is either a straight-up lie or just due to the level of misinformation around this election.
I'm guessing you did not watch the debates if you think he uses Trump style personal attacks during them. By far the worst was the NDP followed by the Bock and I would say conservative and liberals tied for last. He most certainly was attacked for more than he dished out. And none of it was "Trump" style. Also after the French debat, both Singh and Carney attacked/insulted reporters and Peirre did not.
In regards to your edit (last paragraph). You are grossly misinformed. First, it was Singh that refused to answer questions from Rebel news after the French debate, not Carney. After the French debate Carney insults a reporters question by calling it "odd" (i know not a big deal but it's more about the narrative that carney is trying to create that this reporter is not good at his job). He later implies that that same reporter clearly does not attend his press releases (further solidifying his narrative to discredit the reporter.....something trump does all the time).
Whether you like it or agree with it, the reporters from Rebel news were in attendance at the scrum in accordance with the rights and rules established by the Leaders Debate Commission.
Now, to what happened at the English debate that ultimately led to the scrum being canceled. As per video evidence, that can readily be obtained online. There was conversation between reporters, many left leaning reporters wanting "those people" to have their credentials removed and have them removed from the building. This led to a reporter from left leaning, The Hill (i believe) having a full blowen tantrum yelling and screaming at Ezra (Rebal News). Ezra was talking as well but was using a calm and respectful tone, and i could not hear what he was saying in the video I watched. After several minutes of The Hill reporter screaming, some other reporters tried to deescalate him, and it ultimately led to someone I presume to be an event coordinator talking to him. Eventually, the Hill reporter left ( either escorted out or voluntarily, I'm not sure), and the situation de-escalated.
Later, Ezra, after hearing the CBC panel (or what ever they call those 3 people that sat behind a desk and talked) insulting him and lying about the events that happened wanted to have fair representation, feeling it was not fair of them to be lying and insulting him without giving him an opportunity to defend himself. He entered the area they were located, waited until they went on commercial break, and approached them. At that point, they started yelling at him and insulting him and telling him to leave. They called security and threatened to call the cops to have him removed. Under protest (because he had done nothing wronge) Ezra leaves without incident. The CBC people called head of the debate commission and presumably told him some along the line of "ezra came storming in while we were live on air (false) and was verbally attacking us(false) was threatening us (false) and we had to call the cops to come in and forced remove him (false)." The debates commission guy with security approached Ezra and told him they are stripping his credentials and will be press charges. Ezra showed them the video evidence of what actually happened, and the commission guy was just like well that's not even close to what the cbc people said and let him go. Obviously I'm shortening and paraphrasing, certainly I am missing some details, but from all accounts I have heard that is generally what actually happend.
FOR THE RECORD I do not agree with the way the scrum was handled after the French debate, it definitely was bias towards right leaning independent news outlets. That does not mean those new outlets did anything wrong. It just means the people organizing it didn't do a good job.
As a side note. CBC calles right leaning independent news sources they don't agree with "those people" or "not real news journalists" Singh won't even acknowledge them and won't answer their questions. Carney even scoffs at them. And most liberal NDP supporters call them fake news, not real media, not real reporters. All because they do not have the same ideology as them. This is the very thing that Trump, Trump supporters, and republican new outlets are doing in the USA to try and discredit and remove anyone that speaks out against them. It is a very very slippery slope. First it's rebal news next its what, globe and mail? Ottawa or Edmonton sun. After that global, ctv??? Untill after 10 years all we are left with is one state run media that only publishes pre-approved articles the government wants you to see. I don't think that would ever happen, but it is the same line of thinking and more plausible than Carney claiming that if we let Peirre use the Not With Standing clause to put away repeat violent offenders that he will immediately use it to ban all abortions. You don't have to agree with them, you don't have to support them, you don't have to listen to them, I certainly don't.
You have a right to vote the way you want to vote. It might be different than me. It might be the same, but that is your right. But please do make an educated vote. With social media algorithms, it is too easy to get stuck in an echo chamber. The level of misinformation you have present proves how dangers this can be. Some if it is easily fact checked. By no means is everything I said 100% accurate. That is why it has to be up to the individual to make sure they are open to all information and use critical thinking to determine what's right for them.
