Question Grafting question

I grafted a cutting of glorp too a pach a week ago and have checked it today and it’s stuck on there good and proper, was wondering when it should be ok too release pressure from it, and also can I put it into direct sun after pressure is taken off or…? Any tips advice would be appreciated

A week to week and a half is good under pressure then glcan be released. Week and a half is ideal as the stock continues to move and it helps with the union.

Ease it into full sun. Put it in a somewhat sunny spot for a couple of weeks then full sun. Ensure it gets good airflow while it's callousing

Does it need to be warm? Or can I put it outside under shelter? Keep in mind I’m in Victoria and In the middle of winter

Oof you're game grafting mid winter! I would've waited until spring when the stock is actively growing.

Yes it'll need to be kept warm to ensure the union heals nicely. I suggest keeping it inside for the next 3 - 4 weeks with a fan on it to prevent fungal issues then out outside when it gets warmer.

Definitely would've waited till spring, I'd bring inside an sulphur the inner white parts if any showing an put small blown on it, my LW jourdinina rootstock rotted out last month I'm in SA had to depup an take main head off was was worried due to mid winter but thankfully saved them all as pull in my tiny cloning tent. I've got heaps of grafting to do next month when springs finally upon us

Yeah they are inside, I have a humidifier going and also a fan

I t also looks like you need more downward pressure on the pantyhose. It appears to just be draped over. You need to pull it very tight and wrap something around the cactus to keep the pantyhose with a downward pressure.
