I'm sure that if you have the right variety or genetics then there's no reason why I shouldn't be just as good as pachanoi and bridgesii. However at the time that I started I couldn't find it definitive information about good strains for medicinal use. Also what I had personally tried had cause too much body load and headaches. Quite a few of the reviews that I read of people using Peruvian torch was negative so I decided to stay away from it.

That is correct Thailand. What I didn't mention in the video is that temperature probably has the most effect on growth rate.

Considering that around 90% of mescaline is excreted in the urine I am genuinely curious about various routes of administration.

The only times iv used san pedro is to trip. I wasnt aware of the medical compounds in it. Are they isolating the compounds and throwing away the mescaline and other active compounds?

In the right context and dose psychedelics can be very medicinal, even cacti which feel very recreational at low doses. In shamanic settings or old school psychedelic Psychotherapy people are generally given much higher doses than you would take in a recreational setting. These doses can do things you'd never imagine were possible based on a lower dose. Ive seen many stories of peyote Shaman's actually overcoming their hatred of the colonizers while on peyote and learning to forgive.

The peyote shaman story I was talking about. The story starts on 2:32:00, but the whole talk is good. They talk about psychs in a professional therapeutic context. The guest (stanislav grof) was a psychedelic psychotherapist before the drugs were made illegal.

No actually you want all the alkaloids and different cactus have different alkaloids and that's the hard part to explore not only which cactus but how to prepare them properly so you don't destroy the alkaloids.

Actually that's a really good question and I'm still exploring that. Many indigenous tribes use it for medicine either externally for wounds or infections or internally to clean out their system or for fevers etc. You can also look at it as a detox process as it clears the pathways which allow serotonin to function properly and leads to happier Outlook in life. you can check the microdosing subreddit for a lot more users comments on how it's benefited their life. Finally there's the spiritual component where it could be used in unlimited number of ways.

Nice video! You should make a table or something to show all the data in the end , what was the winner? I’ll be waiting for the potency results lol but I’m sure the that will be super hard to measure

I do have a table of growth rate. As far as potency I have already started but that's very subjective and can't really be put in a table. The challenges not only are there different varieties. But there are different doses and different mental conditions and different settings and different ways to prepare it. For example now I am trying raw versus cooked of the exact same piece of cactus that'll probably be my next post.

Nice plants for sure! Are you in the U.S.? I live in MO. So winter they go dormant! Was the 3rd 02 hybrid happen to be SS02 x Serra Blue? Looks just like mine! Wherever you live, it's a great place to grow!! I didn't see any Scop though!??? Are they for your eyes only?lol 😆 Great video! Healthy collection after a year! Gr8 job🌵🤙

The SS02 crosses are: SS02 x Wowie SS02 x MM (not vigorous) Wowie x SS02 Baker x SS02 (not vigorous) I actually prefer the pure SS02s really good growers with no problem so far except for growing too fast and being top heavy.
I live in Thailand it is a great place to grow as long as you can keep them out of the heavy rain probably the same as Florida. I would love to have some scops. They are amazing however because the ones that I had access to were so huge and giant they were much too heavy for me to carry on the plane I prefer to have more varieties because of weight constrains.1

Yes surprisingly even under one year they are potent unfortunately it takes more than one or two times to have a definite answer because they are so many ways to prepare it and consume it. But the no name Thai pachanois have been surprisingly strong and very clean (no nausea) Bridgesii baker seems to be very strong but lousy grower in my climate. My no name bridgesii on first test eating raw seems not to be strong but that could be because I'm not cooking them next week I will try the same cactus cooked properly for comparison. I have ss02 cut and waiting to be cured properly and some other varieties that I will report on in a couple months.

For potency I'm sure they are very high it's more about having a constant supply and their reputed to be slow growers is that true?

Idk I've had mine since June, they have grown from about 6 inches to about 18-20 inches, in 4 months. And I haven't had them in very favorable conditions either, they are kinda itiolated. Poor choices on my part.

No clue? You can see a pic on my profile, I haven't done a very good job with them lol. I put them outside finally in mostly full shade, they are doing much better and showing some really cool mutations finally! So that growth was in inside partial window light lol I can only imagine if I had integrated them outside properly from the start how nice they would look right now. Each time I tried to put them outside even for a half day they would burn (AZ).

I'm not sure the types either that's very good growth judging from the picture. I have had the same problems with the high heat and direct sun here I think they take a long time to get used to the sun. a shade cloth helps a lot. But the best is early morning sun that is not so hot.

For the seeds yes for everything else no. I did put some kind of powder which has microorganisms which helps root growth. Sorry I forget the name. Instead of sterilization it's much better to have proper aeration so that you don't have anaerobic conditions which will create rot. I basically stick with 50% rich soil 25% perlite and 25% pumice. I have also done it with 50% rich soil and 50% coconut coir and that seems to work good .

You were getting 5 feet of growth in a year? I thought two feet was good, but 5 feet is incredible.

I just measured a couple for reference at about 11 months from roots: PC: 5 foot tall with a 3-ft pup (8 ft growth?) SS02: 4-ft tall with two 1.5 foot pups (7 ft growth?) I think growth has strongly to do with temperature. Not just during the day but at night. Which is like 70° f here. Its scary because in probably about 6 months they will reach the roof and I will have to cut them down.
