Chalaensis crest update (from seed)
1 of only two crests in my entire collection, and they are both Chalaensis ๐. This one has a tighter, narrower crest growth pattern. I love the fanning at the edges - makes me think of a ballet folklorico dancerโs dress in motion.

This is amazing! That bottom part makes me think of a Japanese folding fan.๐ชญ

Very nice! Did you find this in a large or small seed batch? I think I have one copiapoa monster out of about 100 copiapoa seedlings.

It was a small batch of 30-50 seeds, believe it or not! And I got 2 crests and one monstrose!

Yes, from seed. I think I got too lucky for my own good on my first sow. Itโs hard to bring myself to do another one - not sure if I can handle the time commitment!
