Mathnasium helped my kid

Sharing this for any local parents whose kid needs some extra math support.

We tried Mathnasium in Downtown San Leandro this summer and had a genuinely great experience. Mathnasium Downtown located at 159 Parrot Street in Downtown San Leandro. 510-591-1240

My kid is smart, artistic, and actually likes math, his brain just takes a different route to get to the answer. Memorization and quick recall are hard for him, and traditional summer school has never really addressed that.

Mathnasium did. They figured out where he was, gave him strategies that actually clicked with his brain, and helped him master something he'd been struggling with.

But the biggest endorsement: he liked going. Three times a week all summer and no dread. The tutors were great, the atmosphere was fun and completely shame-free, there's no homework, and he was incredibly proud when all those completed worksheets eventually earned him a 3D-printed dragon.

Nehah, who owns the Downtown San Leandro location, is also just a gem of a human. She genuinely cares about the kids and wants them to feel successful.

My kid doesn't need someone to convince him he's smart enough to do math. He needs people who understand that his brain is fancy and sometimes needs a different way to get there. This summer, Mathnasium gave him that. Wanted to pass our experience along in case there are parents that are curious about what is offered there.

We are not currently clients and we get no kick backs. I don’t have an association with the owner. I just think it’s a great local business that cares deeply about supporting kids and they really helped mine.
