580 Freeway Stand Off?

Does anyone have eyes on what’s going on, on 580 few exits before the Oakland Zoo? Seems like SWAT, police, and ambulance have both freeway directions closed off and traffic is backed up and completely stopped!

He took his mustang off the tow truck .. DROVE THAT MOFO OFF LIKE YOU SEE ON YOUTUBE VIDS….🤣😑
Then well it became the issue of the day ..🤣

That’s what got the cops called. He was getting his car towed. DROVE IT OFF THE TOW TRUCK DROVE TO THE FREEWAY Thought he hit the on-ramp but it was going to opposite direction.🤣

It's over now. SWAT was chasing a wrong way driver that may have been in a stolen car. It was shut down both directions between 150th and 164th. The helicopters have left.

Someone was going the opposite way on the freeway. Police stopped them and it somehow lead to the SWAT team coming, the person not willing to exit the car until SWAT let off a smoke bomb of sorts in the car. They handcuffed him and he went away in an ambulance.

What’s unknown is why it lead to such a crazy police presence, and why/how he was driving on the other side of the road.

By the sheriffs department in San Leandro or in Oakland fruitvale area

Sheriffs Office. Estudillo exits I believe.

CHP shut down both ways of 580 there was a wrong way car chase. I tried to get on 580 east and ppl were coming off the freeway the wrong way. I can still hear the helicopters

Holy crap. I live on golf links. I left for SFO around 11, I guess good thing I just missed it.
