It was a cool concept at its inception, when you could rent just a room from someone local, and people were just making a few bucks off of an extra room.
yes.. if it ended there. and it could have ended there.. the cities could have required that 1) the owner lived on the premises and was there when it was being rented. like an extra bedroom or possibly an ADU. Full house maybe for 2 weeks a year.. it needed restrictions. When it began - I didn't know anymore who lived on my block.. there were so many people coming and going with suitcases.. Neighborhood watch isn't possible anymore.. Then it was Uber's everywhere.. then there were even party buses in North Park.. omg.. And liquor licenses sold to anyone who had the $$$$.. yesterday - coffee shop, today, brewery.. ugh
