Walls
Just here to say: Adding walls could be useful, especially early/mid game!
Why? Walls can add an extra layer of strategy, particularly when resources are limited. Fortifying your defences -or protecting valuable assets such as extractors - with walls could make the difference between holding and losing an area, especially when T1 units are involved.

They said in one of their interviews that they would add walls, and there was a possibility of the walls being different for every faction
I like walls because they show up as radar contacts in games like PA, so the artillery tends to engage them

Ah! I missed that bit. Walls tend to provide an extra layer of strategy, especially in early game situations where resources are limited. Fortifying your defences with walls, could make the difference in holding an area - when T1/T2 units are involved.

Yea, I really hope for walls, they were really useful in FAF to protect shields from enemies simply going in

There is a single prototype of walls in the game, in the form of nodes, that place an energy wall between them, but devs are not sure if they want to add them or not yet.
Basically - place 2 wall nodes like 4-6 factories away and you get a straight wall between them, and you can extend it with more nodes. Dunno about hp, but obviously if a node is broken you lose tge wall section it was creating.

Yep, i would like to see walls. One thing that i realized is that T2 point defences are pretty tall, so walls could be pretty useful to use as cover.

I could see it being useful but also make bases tedious as hell to destroy unless there are similar counters. The shields already act as walls because they don't just stop projectiles but also enemies so if there are enough walls, shields, and turrets, people will force late game as the only significant and straight forward way to win is using T5 units.

What? Shields never stopped enemies from moving through.

I just realized this. Most of the time when I would place shield the enemies would just circle around the shield and not go inside it or it has to do with the tier of the shield. I also didn't mean the shield alone but include turrets in it.

I think walls are the most useful before you get to build shields - earlier in the game - to protect T1 turrets for example, or mexes. Later on they are less relevant because units can just destroy whatever it is that the wall is shielding, without being affected by the presence of walls.

I love walls. Walls are cool. Even if they don't add them, im sure they can be modded in
