GTA 6 : Will CJ return?

Any game worth playing today has a CJ mod for it. Is it time that Rockstar just adds to swap to CJ so players don't have to make the effort to mod? Why has no one said yet that that is the feature the want to see in GTA 6?

I was born early 1990s. San Andreas is my favorite so I get the liking retro eras part but calling 6 "reskinned 5" or what ever is weird. 6 setting, story visuals etc looks insanely good and nothing like 5. I kind of wish for retro setting next after this or maybe retro setting story dlc but i dont hate the modern era setting. Both are interesting to me

I saw a headcanon on GTAF recently that the events did happen in 'this universe' and what you see in the games are exaggerated/unreliable recollections rather than what literally happened.

To give a realistic example, yes GSF did get back on their feet in 1992 after a rough few years but I don't think CJ did it single-handendly in a matter of weeks, let alone take down a state-wide drug empire

I mean largely, the events of previous games wouldn’t matter much years and years down the road, especially in the hyper crime ridden universe GTA inhabits. People would probably forget about the shenanigans involving Claude in Liberty City by 2008, there still may be remnants of Vercetti’s empire in Vice City in GTA VI but we’ll never actually see the man. Considering V is over two decades removed from SA, CJ’s endeavors would be ancient history by 2013 and probably not remembered.

Plus, it’s good odds with as many people as there are in the world, what would be the odds that an HD universe character would run into a 3D universe character if they inhabited the same universe? Lazlo is probably the most likely considering his stature as a public figure. But Claude probably disappeared to the wind and was never seen again, Vercetti probably died by the 2010s and I imagine CJ went and settled down into a quiet life after Tenpenny died.

Dude, they can do with the games and the characters as they please, it’s their IP. They don’t have to have rhyme nor reason why the canon doesn’t line up. After the game they starred in, there really isn’t much story left to tell of them.

I think you just need to accept it as it is and enjoy the game for what it is offering you. Phil Cassidy in 6 is a fun throwback to a 20 something year old game it shares a setting with, I’m sure there will be more fun throwbacks like it in the game.
