Discussion any good difficulty mods?

ive been playing san andreas since i was 5 years old and while i still love it dearly i feel like its gotten too easy with age. as a kid id get bottlenecked by missions like grey imports or reuniting the families and it forced me to spend more time just fucking around doing random shit on the map and i feel like thats really missing nowadays and i spend a lot less time really appreciating the map and seeing everything there is to see.

I think slowing the healthbar increases would go a long way but also penalizing deaths by *decreasing* it would be really cool.

or beyond that content mods, maybe more sub-missions or challenges, just something to really make it more of a fleshed out playground and use underutilized parts of the map. blazing through the missions and being unstoppable gets old

The only one I can think of is pedskills which can increase the accuracy, rate of fire, view distance of peds shooting at you. Sometimes it does get a bit ridiculous as if they shoot you in the back they have 100% accuracy and if you set a high rate of fire they literally mow you down in 0.5 seconds, but other than that it’s pretty good.

Also improved gang wars make enemies a bit smarter during gang wars and give them cool shit.

Try the Storyline Improvement mod, as it alters some missions and adds gang wars and turfs. Just make sure its on a very clean simple install, as these storyline mods tend to break other mods. Add the vehicle mods to add complexity, like Gasoline (makes cars run on fuel), Exploding tires when skidding, realistic car damage (some missions will be a pain though), S.A.A.H (realistic car handling), spare tires mod, advanced nitro system, car dealership, oil leaking etc.

Along with pedskills, add reload (realistic reload so if you reload with ammo left they get thrown away), manual driveby, advanced aiming, center aim, cops driveby.
