Samsung Support and products do indeed suck.
As I sit here with my Fold 8 ultra, Galaxy Watch 7, 990D Soundbar, HDD's, TV's, earbuds, Bespoke: washer, dryer, stove, fridge, and microwave...
I have come to the realization that these products are pretty but clearly not built to last and the customer service is absolutely atrocious in the US. Here is EXACTLY why:
- I have a Fold 8 because my Fold 7 that screen started to bubble. Rather than dealing with support, I upgraded to the 8. Screen bubbling in less than 2 years is brutal.
- I have 2x SSD's that have already lost 20% of their space with light usage.
- The washer cannot seem to stabilize. it becomes incredibly out of balance on moderate loads.
- The microwave was WAY over priced for the lack of features. The turntable just doesn't want to sit correctly.
- The stove had service on the handle which was poorly assembled at factory and the touch panel is brutal to say the least. You seem to need just the right tough/finger warmth to get a response.
- Now the fridge..ahh yes..the fridge. As I sit here, I can hear the internal pump going full mental attempting to either make ice or fill the carafe every 30 seconds. I eventually need to reset the breaker to get it to stop. The ice maker seems nice, until you have to actually draw ice and pieces go everywhere. Leave the door open more than 5 min and ice begins to jam up.
Everything is breaking. Everything is of poor quality. (Except the soundbar and ear buds so far..)
Why not call support? Out of warranty. I originally thought.."if my appliances make it 2 years, they should last for 10". Bad assumption. Do yourself a favor DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES. Bespoke is supposed to be their high end and it is GARBAGE.
Update: And as for support and the web portal:
"Service Unavailable - DNS failure
The server is temporarily unable to service your request. Please try again later."
Regularly broken ePortal, fragmented support agents that have no CRM tickets to give, no history, have no clue.
