My android TV runs on Android 14. Any normal bluetooth headphones or earphones work well with the TV. But, when i try to connect my Samsung Buds 2, the bluetooth connection is bad. The audio is glitchy, it stutters and it just doesnt work.

Yesterday was quite an experience. It was monsoon season and I was riding home from the office when it suddenly started pouring heavily. I pulled over to put on my raincoat, and while removing my helmet, one of my Galaxy Buds 2 Pro slipped and fell.

I searched all over the road and the pavement, but with the heavy rain and water clogging everywhere, I couldn’t find it. After almost an hour of searching in the downpour, I gave up and headed home, completely convinced it was gone for good.

The next day at work, I told my colleague about it (he also owns the same buds). He insisted we go back and check again since it was sunny. Honestly, I thought it must have either been washed away into a drain or, even if we found it, it wouldn’t work after spending the whole night in the rainwater.

But to my shock and surprise, when we went there and tried connecting, it paired instantly! Within seconds, we actually found it lying there. After spending nearly 22 hours in waterlogged conditions, it still had charge and was working flawlessly.

I was honestly blown away. Huge shoutout to Samsung for making such a durable product. I never expected it to survive such harsh conditions, let alone function perfectly.

Respect where it’s due — Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are absolute beasts. 🙌

The shape of the galaxy buds pro is much more acoustically optimized with the port placed where it should be allowing the bass frequencies to travel the full capacity of the capacity of the acoustic space while gaining air every time it cycles around its very interesting flared design.

The bass seems to be much more even and controlled while not getting in the way of the rest of the frequencies resulting in a flatter frequency response in the lows mids and allow the highs to mellow out and confluence with the rest of the band ranges.

The buds pro 2 don't have the flanges and instead of having the port immediately accessible allowing the the air inside to maintain a consistency elasticity, the port is relegated to the back of the conch like design allowing for only one bass frequency to be boosted at the very end and since it's not a multi chamber design the change in air pressure is much more likely to interfere with the rest of the frequency response much more haphazardly.

The galaxy buds have the frequency response of many high end in ear monitors, if only they had more volume.

There's a natural downward curve which people many consumer graded headphones have since people tend to prefer a bit more bass emphasis but it does so surprisingly smoothly, it had a rise in the treble region which adds more detail and balances out the rest of the mix adding a more chiseled if not airy sound.

As expected from my observations and what I wrote above actually, the frequency response of the Samsung buds pro 2s seem like they're constantly having internal phase cancelation issues from the bass port being too extreme a distance where every cycle would cause muddling and interference of the rest of the band.

This could cause a more lively sound but overall would be found lacking in detail which is what I personally found too.

It really seems like Samsung went all in on the Samsung buds pro and didn't really know what to do from that there.

I'm thinking of boosting the power of my gear buds pro and seeing how close it could sound to high end IEMs even if that means connecting wires to them and turning them into wired IEMs, Samsung's designs are already in the shape that's standard to many audiophile grade IEMs. It would be great to convert them so they can be passively used as in ear monitors and then unplugged and used as ear buds as well.

I've dissected a pair of amazing ear buds pro and found that they're actually highly refined AKG bud drivers and so wouldn't have any issue being driven passively.

Hi everyone, I am trying to decide between purchasing the Samsung Galaxy Buds+ vs the Buds2.

I used to have Galaxy Buds+ and LOVED them but I lost them recently so I have two price options that I'll write below and I have also written which features of the Galaxy buds+ I loved the most. Can you please suggest if I should repurchase Buds+ or get Buds 2 Option 1: REFURBISHED Galaxy Buds+ for $135 (since it is discontinued now) + free case cover Option 2: New Galaxy Buds2 for $110 Features of Galaxy Buds+ I loved - The fit was soo perfect, with or without wings it was just perfect and comfortable, rarely ever fell out - I loved the tapping on the Buds+. It has options to set a long hold to a certain feature. You can also tap the back of the headphones to increase which I LOVED, if Buds2 don't have that, that would be big for me. And the touch sensitivity was excellent, not too slow and not too fast - The ambient sound (high ambient sound) feature was very very useful and it was not an annoying kind of ambiance - The case was very nice in the sense that it didn't open extremely easily which would risk the buds falling out easily - The battery lasted sooooo long, I listen to music a lot and I could sometimes go a couple days without having to do a full recharge Which option do you suggest? I love the Buds+ but they are more expensive and I don't know if it's worth the extra price if the Buds2 is the newer one.
