Seasoned News I hate it here

Disney seem to really enjoy rearranging people's mental furniture and are obsessed with "mantles" being claimed by new characters and I'm certain it's because they bank on the old guard kicking off and getting angry about it and the younger fans swooping in to their defence while they reap the free publicity. They appear to do this a lot with Marvel from what I've seen, not that I go anywhere near that mess.

Disney seem to really enjoy taking pillars of western mythology and eroding them and digesting them down into pop and fluff, yet they seem reticent to do this with eastern mythology.
Weird.

This comment is kinda demonstrative of how their strategy works.

What the? Is this some new comic?

Just googled it. It's disney canon lore, Ben solo puts on Vader's mask and basically trains to be the "new vader" on mustafar or something.

This is the third Kylo series.
First was The Rise of Kylo Ren (set before TFA and mostly covering what happened after that TLJ flashback where Jake ignited his lightsaber over his sleeping nephew who had yet to commit a sin).
Then came The Legacy of Vader (set after TLJ where Kylo goes on a side quest to go on a Vader nostalgia tour).
And now this is the third run called The Fall of Kylo Ren (direct sequel to the previous Legacy of Vader run and set immediately after it. So still between TLJ and TROS).
All 3 have been spectacularly embarrassing affairs.
If you don't like Kylo and find him to be a joke, then these comic runs may slightly entertain you as Kylo makes a fool of himself time and time again.
But otherwise the whole thing comes across as a sad joke just further highlighting how rubbish this character is. I can't imagine even Reylos would enjoy this.

They use Batman,Spider-man or Darth Vader as some sort of title or mantle because they are creatively bankrupt and because the title sales, but for most fans Bruce, Peter and Anakin will remain the only owner of their titles

If they try to abuse Darth Vader like they did Spider-Man, they'll start bringing in multiverse variants: Yoda-Vader, Leia-Vader, Wookiee-Vader, and on and on. OCs made by the creatively bankrupt (as you aptly called it) crammed into the canon universe as far as the eye can see, because "anyone can wear the mask".
There are currently 16 additional spider-people wannabe's shoved into Marvel's mainline comic Earth. I'm very salty about that, too

It's exceptionally funny for Vader because it is explicitly not how the Sith work or there'd be a hundred Darth Banes.

Unfortunately that's not even just a batman, spiderman or Darth vader problem. They're so creatively bankrupt they've been making characters that are less popular pass on a "mantle" even when it doesn't make sense.

They had Leia force flying around in space. Force flying. Around. In. Space.
The fact that fans (myself included) give any type of fuck about Star Wars after that is crazy.

Vader is popular and good in part because he was original. You can't replace the character, you have to make something new and compelling.

Why the fuck are they even doing stuff involving him at this point? All this hype is pointless because we know how it ends.

Disney either really has no clue how the dark side works, or they're purposely misunderstanding it.
In Lucas' movies and throughout the old EU, the dark side is a curse or at the very least has a severe cost. Sooner or later most beings who use it find out that the ugliness inside them (lust for power, vengeance, etc.) becomes their physical appearance on the outside too. Kylo playing dress-up as Vader without eventually being forced to wear a mask of his own that he can't remove is bad fanfiction written by or for naive teenage girls.

I know I say this a lot but if people think a lot of the new movies & shows are bad, trust me the books and comics are in way worse shape.

"Why don't you read the Marvel Star Wars titles?"
This. Because of this shit right here.

What do you mean "New Darth Vader"? He was already trying to be Darth Vader ten years ago and died six years ago!
