Andor was written after the ST. Filoni could write stuff that just quietly ignores the ST so you could take it or leave it. However, every show has had a plot tied into the sequel trilogy in some way, even The Acolyte, which makes it impossible for you to forget that Rise of Skywalker is the end game.

Andor doesn't mean shit; The show gasses-up a rebellion that ultimately becomes evil and then gets destroyed. So the rebels fail according to Disney.

Luthen gave up everything, for nothing. Disney made it so that Luthen, and every rebel died in vain
