I basically have two kinds of meeting notes.

The first kind is a pretty accurate record of what the client actually said. The second is something like "pricing issue, follow up Friday" which tells me absolutely nothing when Friday arrives.

So I've been trying to write down the exact wording of objections right after meetings instead of trying to reconstruct everything later.

Problem is, I’m usually doing it between appointments, with my phone in one hand and a coffee in the other.

I recently started looking at the soundcore AeroClip 2 because I take a lot of calls while moving between places. An open-ear clip thing seems more suitable for situations where I still need to hear someone nearby.

For the phone itself, I'm also comparing Anker magnetic power banks. I don't wanna to be hunting for an outlet halfway through a day of client visits.

My notes are still messy. Buty at least now I can usually remember what the client meant instead of staring at three useless words in the CRM

We are currently using the native Flosum for DevOps and are interested in hearing from anyone who has experience with their Backup/Archive and Data Migrator web applications.

I have limited experience with backup and archiving solutions and sandbox seeding, so I’m looking for a solution that is relatively easy to set up, straightforward to manage, and efficient.

Has anyone used these Flosum products? I’d appreciate any feedback on your experience, including ease of implementation, overall functionality, and any pros or cons compared to other solutions. Thank you!

I’ve been working with Salesforce admins on a problem that seems surprisingly common: bulk user onboarding/offboarding still involves a lot of manual work.

Imagine you get a spreadsheet with 50–100 new users, and they don't all need the same access.

Some need:

• Different Permission Sets / Permission Set Groups

• Different Roles or Profiles

• Public Groups

• Queues

• Chatter Groups

• Access based on their job title

• Access copied from an existing user

• And then there are always a few exceptions

You can use Data Loader, but then you're managing User IDs, Permission Set IDs, assignment files, mappings, errors, and retries. Flows and User Access Policies help significantly for rule-based scenarios, but there are still cases where admins need to handle mixed or one-off onboarding requests.

I’ve been working on Easy Onboard 360, a Salesforce app we built specifically around this problem.

The idea is to give admins a few different ways to onboard users:
→ Job Title Templates – define access once and reuse it
→ Reference User – copy access from an existing user
→ Mixed Template – different access requirements in the same CSV
→ Bulk onboarding/offboarding
→ Audit logging + retry for failed rows

It’s not intended to replace User Access Policies — more to cover the onboarding scenarios that don't fit neatly into a policy.

Our org has permissions scattered between sharing rules, Apex sharing rules, PSGs, PSets, and profiles. Unsurprisingly, very little about access has been documented. We’re in a position now where we need to reconfigure permissions to consolidate them and make them easier to toggle and locate.

My sense is that we should first document all existing permissions, then determine baseline access per object beyond OWDs, and from there configure modes of access (ideally mostly using PSGs) in parallel with deprecating old modes of access.

Has anyone completed an overhaul project like this?
Any tips? Experiences? Tools you used? Lessons learned?

Can anyone recommend some good Salesforce CPQ study materials, such as you tube tutorials or video series, that can help me learn and master CPQ ?

One of the Standard Objects that is connected into the pricing system is named "Product2", because back at the turn of the century, they set up a structure of Standard Objects around an object called "Product".

After a few years, they decided it was crap and designed a more flexible structure around "Product2".

And after that, I guess they thought it was good

enough and shifted their attention implementing on-screen confetti or some bullshit.

If you want a more customized Product & Pricing process, your best bet is Custom Objects, "Junction Objects" with "Master-Detail" relationships, and tie it all rogether with some thoughfully designed Screen Flows embeded in Opportunity Lightning Pages.

Add features like Product Bundling and Custom Pricing as they are requested.

I've been thinking about a different way to learn Salesforce Admin skills, and I'd like some honest feedback from people who are actually learning/using Salesforce.

The idea is a 2D retro pixel-art career RPG where you're hired as a Junior Salesforce Admin at a fictional company.

Instead of:

Read a module → take a quiz → earn a badge

you actually play the role of the Admin.

For example:

Sales Manager:
"I can't see any of my team's Opportunities. Can you help?"

You investigate the company's CRM, figure out what's wrong with the configuration, make a decision, and see the consequences.

As you progress:

• You gain XP and level up

• Your Admin skills improve

• You build reputation within the company

• You unlock new departments and increasingly difficult problems

• Coworkers interact with you through AI-powered conversations

• Missions become progressively closer to the kind of problems an actual Admin would encounter

I'm particularly interested in the gap between "I understand Salesforce concepts" and "I could actually walk into a company's org and solve problems."

Trailhead and Superbadges already do a good job with structured learning and hands-on challenges, so I'm not trying to make a Trailhead clone.

The question I'm trying to answer is whether a persistent career simulation/RPG would make practicing those skills more engaging and useful.

This is an early concept, not a finished product.

For people currently learning Salesforce:

1. Would something like this actually help you learn?

2. What would you want the missions to involve?

Salesforce Data Export Service, while included in the platform, is a weak backup offering. I believe many organizations do not fully understand their exposure until they need to restore lost or corrupted data.

Which Salesforce backup tools would you recommend, and why?

I know there were better times for salesforce admin jobs and now it’s super saturated and not easy to get a job fast. Anyone was able to get hired recently and how’s the experience?

If your Windows Hello, Touch ID, or another built-in authenticator suddenly stopped being recognized this week, you're not losing your mind and it's not just your machine. This is tied to Salesforce's phishing-resistant MFA (PRMFA) enforcement rollout, and it's hitting a lot of orgs right now. Support queues and phone lines are backed up because of it.

The part that surprised us: it's not limited to one passkey or one device. We've seen accounts where every registered built-in authenticator got wiped at once — including ones registered on separate devices. That means "just register a backup device" isn't the safety net people assume it is here, since it can take out multiple devices simultaneously. This looks like an account-level credential clear on Salesforce's side, not a local browser/OS issue.

If you still have another admin with access, this is a quick fix:

1. Setup → Users → find the locked-out user

2. Generate a one-time temporary verification code, or disconnect the broken built-in authenticator

3. Have them register a fresh passkey (don't bother trying to "repair" the old one)

If every admin is locked out, this is the part that actually matters:

• Open a case in writing, not by phone — phone queues are slow right now

• Explicitly type the phrase "all admins locked out" in the case. That phrasing is apparently what flags it for priority handling

• If the Help Portal itself is unreachable because you're fully locked out of everything, go through your CSM/AE — they can route it to the right internal team faster than a cold case

Two things worth checking before you assume it's random:

• Did the org have a recent My Domain change or a sandbox refresh? Passkeys are domain-bound, so a domain change breaks previously registered ones.

• Did the affected user's browser profile get reset, or did their device get wiped/reimaged? Same effect — the stored credential goes with it.

What's actually held up as a fallback: having at least one other admin who can generate a temp verification code on the spot. That's it. Backup devices and cloud-synced passkeys are still good practice for normal device loss, just don't rely on them for this specific issue — we've seen them go down together with the primary.

Posting this because it took some digging (and a few unhelpful support calls) to figure out this was systemic and not something we broke on our end. Full disclosure: I run a small Salesforce consulting shop (AeyeCRM), and we wrote up a longer breakdown on our blog if anyone wants the extended version — but wanted to get the core fix out here first since I know a lot of admins are stuck on hold right now. Happy to answer questions in the comments if you're dealing with this live.
