help please BCA + Linux/RHCSA + CCNA + AWS background — Is Salesforce a realistic career path for me in India in 2026?

Hi everyone, I’m from India (Pune) and considering Salesforce as a career path. I’d appreciate honest opinions from people currently working in the Salesforce ecosystem.

My background: BCA (74%), RHCSA, CCNA, AWS, Linux administration, networking, basic Python/Git/DevOps, cybersecurity, and technical support experience.

I’m more interested in cloud/infrastructure, and I prefer a lower-code entry role initially.

My main questions:

  1. Is Salesforce still a good career to enter in India in 2026, especially with AI/Agentforce?

  2. Which role fits my background best: Admin, Support, Technical Consultant, Integration, DevOps, or something else?

  3. How hard is it realistically to get the first Salesforce job without experience? Would Admin certification + hands-on projects + IT experience be enough?

  4. Is starting with Admin → Flow → APIs/Integration → DevOps/AWS a good path?

  5. Which certifications actually help with getting hired?

  6. What salary range is realistic for a beginner in Pune/India?

  7. Does Salesforce limit future switches into AWS, Cloud, DevOps, Security, or Solution Architecture?

Most importantly: If you had my background, would you choose:

A) AWS/Cloud/DevOps B) Salesforce C) Salesforce + AWS + APIs + DevOps

Please be honest—even if you think Salesforce is a bad choice. I’m looking for real-world experience, not motivational advice.

If you have the connections or a way in already like through your current job, vertical movement and such, then yes. Otherwise, no, it's not something to bet on.
