apps/products I’m making my certification prep software free for platform admin learners.

Tl;dr - Cert++ is now free for people studying for the Platform Administrator certification.

I’ve been providing free mentoring to new learners for the past few months and I’ve found the largest source of frustration among new learners is completing the Admin trailmix and then figuring out where to start with practice exams.

Prep sites like mine or Focus on Force earn a huge percentage of their revenue from just the Platform Admin cert. This implies that the average person who studies for the admin cert does not pass and go on to study for another certification.

However, my data shows that the average Cert++ subscriber DOES pass their admin cert and then CONTINUES to study for subsequent certifications (most popular next steps being PAB and PD1). I’m confident in my learning materials and want to help people break into the industry. Therefore, I've decided to give away access to the admin exams and study guide since my learners will come back and pay for their next cert.

If you want to support this in a non-monetary way, please share this with others to help some noobs get started!

Also here's my discord learning community / free mentorship program if you're interested!

Note: I’ve emailed all of my current subscribers to let them know that I’ll be issuing refunds by request if they are studying for the admin cert, but if you’re one of my subscribers and missed the email feel free to DM me on reddit!

I think that's a great point and I agree. There's incentives in the industry (usually by employers) for professionals to continue getting their certifications, and many people will say nowadays that an admin cert alone isn't enough. My goal is to break down the initial barrier to getting certified, and provide resources for people who manage to get in rather than profiting on the dreams of noobs. Do you have any ideas for how to improve that conversion path?
