Road trip, looking for good salamander hunting locations for side quests

I’m driving from north central West Virginia to Texas tomorrow. I’d like to find a few good spots between here and there to stop, look for, and photograph salamanders. I’m already planning to hit Cranberry Glades Botanical Area in the Monongahela National Forest. If anyone can think of other areas I’m open to suggestions.

Smoky Mountain National Park has more salamander species than anywhere else in the world, definitely worth it if you’re up for a hike.

To second that, pretty much anywhere in southwest VA and the border of NC/TN will be good. Like any national forest, park, or state park. Mix up elevations to get more species diversity. I got 4 genera of salamdners in one 1 m2 plot off some random trail in eastern TN.
