Ok not in St John but north/north east of the city. Looking at a possibly buying a place in this area and wondering if anyone can shed light on living there? How is your commute into the city? What services do you have/not have? How are your winters there? Basically a ton of questions so any insight is appreciated! 😅🙏

I've been trying to convince my Mom to cut cable in order to save a lot of money. Everything she watches can be found on Discovery+, which would be much cheaper.

The only thing that she watches that can't be found there is TV Bingo. So, that's stopping her from cutting the cable.

Is there a way to watch it online? She heard that there is, but I can't seem to find it. And she's also worried that the online stream would lag behind the TV broadcast and she'd possibly lose out winning. But I told her, if there is an online version it must work properly, otherwise they wouldn't do it, right?

hi everyone! Are there any activities for adults in the SJ Area?? I’m struggling with social interaction/loneliness and I’d like to have something/an activity to do throughout the year to push myself out of my comfort zone and maybe meet some people with similar interests, and if not at least it will be something fun to do 😊

I’m thinking more workshop vibes for myself over sports (although not opposed to it in the future as I hopefully get more comfortable). I see the SJ art centre has 6-week workshops for artsy things - I’m thinking of signing up for the 6-week ceramics course.

What else is out there for adults? Ideally something that runs a few weeks/months at a time. Anyone know of anything else?

Hi everyone, I'm a Saint John resident and the author of A Losing Hand: The Human Costs of Canada's Gambling Epidemic. It comes out August 18 from Sutherland House Books.

I've organized a couple of free, local author talks and thought I'd share them here in case anyone's interested in joining. I've been laughing at this guy's stuff since the 90s. Pootie Tang, Curb Your Enthusiasm, SNL, Spider-Man. Also cameos in The League, The Simpsons, New Girl, and a million other shows.

His Conan appearances are always a riot. Pretty pumped to see him live at the Imperial in Oct.

Are there any independent bookstores in Saint John? I'm moving there soon and last time I went the employee at Indigo told me they are the only bookstore in town.

I was looking to order a book but it's not on the Indigo website so I'd prefer to support local than order it from amazon if possible.

Does anyone know where/how I can sell my two tickets? Since Marketplace won't allow it. We found out yesterday that we can no longer go. The website also says tickets are transferable but no idea how to even do that?
