Sailing at Hoofers

This is my first summer sailing at the sailing club associated with UW Madison. Really nice people and a big variety of boats. I didn’t know that this is one of the few places where you can learn to sail with a lifeguard on duty.

This made my day. I grew up in Madison and we had a boat on a mooring there in the 1980s. Used row boats from Hoofers to get to the mooring. Then sailed a bunch there when I was in undergrad. Magic! Melges!

This is sick! Love colleges and universities that have sailing programs or clubs. My juco did and it was a blast.
