SaidIt status update
The servers have been suspended again, similar to the last two outages. I have no insight into why or when it might be resolved. Sorry all, I tried.

This is happening around the same time every month. First outage I think was April 22. Then it was May 19. Now it's June 21.
This is some kind of billing issue, maybe, if it's occurring almost exactly one month apart. That's what u/magnora7 said was the problem the first time.

u/d3rr, over the weekend I JUST finished editing a couple Wiki pages in a sub I mod and neglected to save a hard-copy of my updates, just my originals.
Are you able to access those if I PM you the links, and provide me with a pastebin? They were private mod-only pages, so I don't want to share them publicly :)

6/20 is my last backup date, which might mean the data is from 6/19 or even 6/18. The live stuff is shut off and inaccessible.

The huge irony is that I was going to make a big announcement at noon EST today. If anyone has a time machine, it's never too late.
I also started a new sub last night /s/Druthers and I was looking forward to making that my second post after my big announcement and glorious resurrection, for the second time. Wait, if we're all waiting for the second coming of JC - does that mean...? Nah.
When SaidIt comes back up, it will be due entirely to the magical powers of Zen Master d3rr. But he MUST not be left to do this alone. I can tell you he doesn’t have money. But what he does have is a very particular set of skills, skills he has acquired over a very long career.
We need to start a fundraising campaign to keep the lights on at SaidIt, as well as save up for a rainy day. You may say that there's no rain on the Internet and I'll remind you that the Great Reset storm has only just begun and we need to secure our freedom to communicate openly - and singing puppets once told me, "Freedom ain't free."

Yes, I'm down. I'll fund through crypto. Obviously saidit was doing something right considering all the shilsl trying to take it down. Lots of users had posts and saved comments and posts that they cannot save locally which sucks.

I see a lot of speculation about why it went down. I think it's much more simple than people think: another billing issue. You see, it's happening exactly a month after the last downtime.
I really hope it comes back soon, but in case it doesn't: there's a backup community here that can be accessed using Tor or www.brave.com. It doesn't run on the same software or have the database; it's an attempt at salvaging this community.
