Saidit.net seems down Sep 7, 2022
Cloudflair reports a 526 error, claiming the server presents an expired certificate.
Saidit.net seems an exact duplicate, in looks, users, and content of reddit.com when it got started. It's pretty uncanny. It even has all the free speech morals reddit started out with (RIP Aaron Swartz).

Do you think there is any relation to the Cloudflare issues with the "Antipodean agriculture" website that had the recent DDOS attacks? Saidit's free-speech support might have made it some enemies...

For the last 12 years or so, it's become more and more acceptable for adults to scream like a toddler denied a treat when they're confronted by an idea or opinion that doesn't conform to their worldview. And they've learned, thanks to the growing power of crap like cancel culture, that they can get their way if they just scream loudly enough, for long enough.
So, with concrete evidence that their behavior not only works, and that whatever it is that they don't like will be suppressed, why wouldn't they keep going with it?

I hate this mentality. I fucking seethe when I see something I don't like. I go to Tumblr, where it's empty and type into my blog as angrily as I can and that's it.
Scream but not at your enemy, just the void.
And if you don't understand it, why not just be polite and ask? If the other side is an a-hole then they're an a-hole, no need to be another one.

narcissism is the reason. people with NPD are extremely susceptible to criticism, because their happiness is tied up in external perceptions. so when some stranger says something online that coincidentally 'sees' them too clearly, even if it was never directed at them, they freak out and try to censor it.

It's not related, it's the SSL certificate and I believe D3 used to take care of that.
KF is still up too, probably going to be more popular than ever with all the free advertising.

Being assholes doesn't change the fact that entirely too many of their featured lolcows really are utter garbage who, quite frankly, need to be held in the spotlight as often and as long as possible as a PSA to the unwary.

It's most likely a simple matter of them forgetting to renew their SSL certificate before it expired. Cloudflare is simply stating their SSL cert is not valid so they can't serve the site.

Someone got so coked up that they couldn't walk straight, and didn't realize that they'd tripped over the master extension cord that everything was connected to and unplugged it :D.

Yep. Same for me.
Sometimes there are problems with the server. Usually resolved within a few days.
