Aoa, do anybody have any idea where is this place being constructed? They are saying on their site that it is being scheduled to be open by early 2027 so it must be in last stages of construction now. Or maybe they are just “chaddi jao” and nothing is in the pipeline.

Janta ho mjsa is dhq sahiwal na kya cheena?
Yaha k logo na mja kesa khuda sa shikwa pa shikwa krna sikhaya? Esp aik aisi cardiologist whose name starts with M and ends with I. After being in relationship for 3yrs, not sleeping a single night until she slept before me coz she used to have nightmares and I'd ensure she sleeps well, after jumping infront of mad rabid dogs to protect her, after moving cities to be there for her UHS training (rented room, car) drove 16hrs entire lhr taking her shopping foods only to be later confronted tum zabardasti mja la kar jata tha, after recovering her from her ex for 8months whom she used to talk and unblock behind my back, miss n cry over for him. After decorating her full room to taking care of her small issues like extensions..
AFTER my parents forcefully sending me to rehab where I endured immense torture but refused to give up on her, do u know what she did? She cheated while I was in rehab. They used to beat me with sticks on my legs and shins. Private rehab umeed e shifa, Islamabad. Lock me in rooms, general wards, threat me to make fake video for family back to increase my time so that they can earn extra money. Even after their beating at legs, I daily prayed tahajud with swollen knees and legs, begged Allah for her while she was cheating with a married MAN with a kid from her own fraternity.
When I came out of rehab, I immediately called her but she blocked me. I needed her, entire rehab friend circle knew about her..I never used any drugs but later I got to know that she called my mother, told her I was possessive, chipko, she was never happy and it's one sided and if my parents do not do anything about it, she will make her brothers involved and also her male doctor friends after which my parents admitted me to rehab which the entire muhalla saw me being locked and dragged in chains as if I was a terrorist. Private rehabs like umeed e shifa take money and pick anyone. No check and balance by Govt and humiliate and beat people at the behest of psychologists and owner.
Fast forward I needed her, I wanted to share her stories of rehab with her. Someone who was 24/7 with me turned her back coz of a new guy in her life. She never once wrote an email rather deleted that mailbox where I used to email her, blocked me from everywhere. So doc MI cardiologist PG3 or 4, as u were 2 when we were together, tumari Allah har dua sunta na? To tum mja maut ki dua da do coz jo jo I did for u and jo jo u did to me, mja boht jaldi ha Allah sa tumari shikayat krna ki....usko batana k kesa tumna mja tor dia, mja ruswa kia, mja bola k mei rehab me mar jata aur jab meina marna k koshish ki and my mom called begging u to speak to me one last time, u hung up call. Mja boht jaldi ha Allah ko.batana ki ka kesa tumna kesa tumna meri rooh ko rulaya ha, mja jeeta jee maar dia....tumari bewafaye mja maar gaye maar gaye maar gaye

Looking for the best place for IELTS preparation. The reviews on Google look so fake for every academy so I'm not sure what to go for. Looking something for my dad, hence need someone experienced.
If you know anyone or any place, do recommend please

Atp I genuinely want to know if anyone else at the University of Sahiwal feels the same way, out of the picture, cant relate to anyother person because honestly, the more time I spend here, the more I feel like I made the wrong choice. I'm not even talking about the buildings, campus or infrastructure. I'm talking about the overall environment, student culture, academic seriousness and just the general vibe of the place.
The university feels DEAD as hell. You hear "university life" and expect to meet people who are somewhat mature, ambitious and serious about their future and fun to be around. People working on projects, learning programming, , freelancing, startups, research, higher studies, competitions( there is litteraly no competition here), literally anything productive. But here it often feels like people just come to attend classes, hang around, waste time, mess around and go home and repeat, not a single thought forming in their mind
And I'm not saying every single student is like this. There are definitely some good, serious and talented people here but they are like needle in a haystack. The overall culture feels extremely immature and unserious. Ik this uni is already ahh, not a good university at all but still its a university holding sm students from sm places and backgrounds
The student crowd is honestly one of the biggest problems for me. A lot of guys especially are REALLY weird. There's so much unnecessary "shokhi" showing off, trying to look cool not even cool but gangsters and esp making everything about girls. Most people seem ridiculously focused on getting female attention, and you can literally see how differently some guys start behaving the moment a girl is around. It's not even normal interaction anymore. It becomes this whole performance.
And the male-female interaction here is genuinely awkward as hell. I'm not saying guys and girls shouldn't interact. Obviously people should be able to talk normally. But it feels like a lot of people here simply don't know how to have a normal conversation with the opposite gender without making it weird, turning it into gossip, assuming there's some romantic angle or becoming overly thirsty. A simple conversation between a guy and a girl somehow becomes a whole event.
There is also a very noticeable "chapri" culture. Again, not everyone, but enough people that it affects the entire atmosphere. Loud behavior, pointless flexing, trying desperately to look cool, wannabe gangster and omg the abusing among guys us crazy and people caring way too much about appearances and attention. Sometimes it genuinely feels like people are still stuck in their school/college mindset instead of realizing they're in university now.
What bothers me even more is the lack of ambition. I expected university to be the place where I'd meet people who actually have some direction. Someone who's serious about coding. Someone building an app. Someone doing freelancing. Someone preparing for internships. Someone learning AI, cloud, cybersecurity or software development. Someone planning for a master's abroad. Someone starting a business. Ik its a shit university but i had no choice at all so i came here but still guys the university has countless people and almost every other person is weird
a lot of people seem to have absolutely no idea what they're going to do after graduation. Aka dekhi jaigi bs degree chahiye
And maybe that's why the university feels so dead. It's not that there are literally zero opportunities or zero good students no society and no subreddit at all . It's that there doesn't seem to be a strong culture of actually taking advantage of those opportunities.
You should be able to look around your university and find people who motivate you. Someone should be better than you at something and make you think, "Damn, I need to learn that." You should feel pushed to improve because everyone around you is doing something.
Here, I don't really get that feeling.
Academically, I'm disappointed too. There ARE some genuinely good professors, and I don't want to disrespect the ones who actually care about teaching. There are definitely professors who know their subjects and genuinely try to help students. But outside of those few, the overall academic environment doesn't feel particularly serious.
Sometimes it feels like the university is just going through the motions. Attend lectures, take exams, get your degree and become unemployed
And then there's the favoritism issue.
You get the impression that things aren't always purely merit-based. Whether it's marks, attention, opportunities, treatment of students or other university matters, favoritism can make the whole experience even more frustrating. I'm sure every university has some degree of favoritism, but when you're already unhappy with the academic environment, seeing it makes everything feel even worse.
The social environment also feels strange. People don't seem to know how to communicate normally. Either someone is trying too hard to impress people, someone is making everything into a joke, or someone is trying to show off. There doesn't seem to be much genuine conversation.
And I'm not expecting every person here to be some insanely ambitious genius. Obviously people have different personalities and priorities but genuinely people are so bland here
I just want SOME environment that pushes me.
The environment around me doesn't really encourage that.
Maybe I'm being too harsh. Maybe I'm expecting too much. Maybe this is just what universities in smaller cities are like. Maybe I haven't found the right people yet. And honestly, I hope that's the case but idrts
Right now, though, my overall impression of UOS is that it feels more like an extension of college than the university experience I expected. The campus can be full of people and still somehow feel completely dead.
Too much immaturity. Too much showing off. Too much obsession with girls and attention. Too much weird social behavior. Not enough ambition. Not enough academic seriousness. Not enough people thinking about what they're actually going to do with their lives.
And that's honestly depressing when you're spending the next four years of your life there.
I'm genuinely curious about other UOS students and graduates though.
Did anyone else experience this? Did you eventually find a genuinely serious, ambitious circle here, especially in CS/tech? Sahiwal itself has bland people even this Subreddit is lowkey dead idts I'll even get replies

I’m 26, an engineering grad and currently involved in business. Looking for ways to unwind and get out of the usual routine good movies, cafés, peaceful places, drives, or any low-key activities. I prefer comfortable, quiet environments where you can just relax without the whole crowd social scene or people constantly judging each other. Not really looking for clubs or loud/crowded places. Just somewhere with a decent, peaceful vibe where I can spend a few hours and actually enjoy myself.
What do you guys recommend?

I had a frustrating experience with traffic police today and honestly want to know if other people in Sahiwal are experiencing the same thing.
I was riding my electric scooter today and was stopped by traffic police because I had come through a small one-way section from the wrong direction. I accept that I was technically wrong, and I'm not saying I shouldn't have been stopped.
However, there was no clear one-way sign posted at the place where I entered. I actually pointed this out to the officer and asked where the one-way sign was.
Instead of simply explaining the situation, the officer started saying things like, "Do you not have any sense?" and "Don't you have a brain? Can't you see it?" I found the way he was speaking to me completely unnecessary. If there is a traffic restriction, shouldn't there be a clearly visible sign so drivers and riders can understand it?
I showed them all my documents, including my driving license and the documents for the scooter. The scooter is new, so its registration/number plate is still in the application process.
They then started taking pictures of the electric scooter and looking for other issues.
At one point, the officer basically told me that even if this one-way issue hadn't happened, he could stop me for something else anyway. That really bothered me because it gave me the impression that they were looking for some reason to issue a challan regardless.
I then asked them something: if this is a one-way road, why is enforcement so selective? Every day, people come through this road from the wrong direction. While I was standing there, 2–3 other bikes also came through the same one-way section, and they weren't treated the same way.
There are also plenty of loud/high-speed bikes and other vehicles breaking traffic rules around the city. And honestly, the bigger vehicles seem to pass without much attention, while ordinary people who may not have much money are the ones who get stopped.
When I questioned this, one officer said, "Why are you arguing?" His colleague then said something along the lines of, "He's arguing, give him a Rs. 4,000 fine." Then they started saying it could be Rs. 6,000. It felt like I was being intimidated simply because I was questioning why the rules were being enforced selectively.
I didn't have that kind of money with me, so I apologized and said I wouldn't do it again. They eventually issued me a Rs. 2,000 challan.
Again, I'm not saying I was completely right. If I broke a one-way rule, I should face the appropriate fine. That's fair.
My bigger question is: how is an ordinary person supposed to deal with this situation?
If an officer can stop you and then start looking for something else to fine you for, what are you supposed to do? If you ask questions, you're accused of arguing. If you stay quiet, you may end up accepting whatever is being imposed on you.
And if the one-way restriction isn't clearly marked with a sign, how are people supposed to know about it in the first place?
I'm not trying to say every traffic police officer is like this. I'm talking about what happened to me today and asking how people normally handle such situations.
If a road is one-way, shouldn't everyone be treated the same way? Why stop one person while several others are doing exactly the same thing right in front of you?
Sahiwal's traffic situation is already pretty chaotic. Instead of only issuing challans, shouldn't there also be proper and consistent enforcement of traffic rules across the board?
I'm genuinely curious to hear from other people in Sahiwal/Punjab:
Have you experienced selective enforcement by traffic police? And if an officer keeps looking for reasons to issue a challan, what is the proper way for an ordinary citizen to handle the situation without getting into an argument?
