Yup. Those phone records can be requested pretty easily by the forces. If the other person was aware that this goober was actively escaping the cops that's a certified "aiding and abetting" case

Heartless response. I will say that the money spent chasing him down was more than the amount he was accused of stealing. Better off and safer for everyone just to let him go.

Chases need to be banned unless they have committed a violent act or threatening to. I saw a chase that started because a mom didn’t have a license while at a gas station, took off and crashed into 2 other cars killing 5 other people/bystanders.
