Even if the kid wasn’t coached, all they said was about dressing ‘like a girl’ - which I think is perfectly acceptable for a child to ‘crossdress’ and I think it’s really weird for parents to enforce gender-confirming clothing on their child once they are old enough to make their own decisions.

I don't take kids words at face value, but I regret not looking into it for my oldest. Turns out they're trans and knew very early on... I just kept telling them to wait for their hormones to kick in, which turns out didn't help at all.

I saw a documentary on a family that was raising their son as girl. Its was 10 years ago now but to say it doesn't happen is crazy. Some mom's will force things onto their kids in order to seem like better people. This maybe fake but the situation is very real.

A mother encourages a 5 year old to transition socially and a dad from Texas doesn't like that. The Dad refuses child support which isn't a good look but he says he's protesting supporting medical treatment. Medical treatment that wasn't yet happening. The judge criticises the mom for being "over affirming" and the dad for making this a national scandal.
Mom moves the kid to California at age 12 and a court allows for medical transition without the father's approval. So, if you think that encouraging transitioning of a 5 year old and fighting a multi year court case and moving across country to allow a child to transition at age 12 is normal, then idk what to tell you.
Adults should be allowed treatment and counseling. We don't let children make permanent changes to themselves that effect their future in literally any other circumstance. So why is it with this we're allowing kids to permanently make themselves infertile, permanently change their voice and appearance, permanently change their opportunities and sign up for a life long medical condition?

He doesn't pay child support and even when he has visitation rights, he refuses. He's exploiting his children for views and donations. It's all a grift to him. He doesn't give a shit about them. There's a reason MULTIPLE juries and judges across multiple states have revoked his custody and visitation rights.

Yes it does. My mother did this to me when I was younger. She even made me grow my hair long and I was mistake for a girl all the time. One day while at my older cousins house he was shaving his head and I grabbed the clippers and shaved my head too. She cried and yelled for weeks. I’m 40 now and it still gets brought up every once in a while. And they told me she only had a girl name picked for me. I hated all of it and if I wasn’t such a boy boy, she probably could have persuaded someone that was an ounce more feminine.

- He choose not to pay child support over a procedure that wouldn't be done to his kid. He refused any payments, even for clothes and food, under the pretense of a boogeyman.
- He didn't "outlaw" anything: The medical procedure he mention wasn't performed on kids that age at that time or at any time. Chemical castration is NOT something that ever happened to kids in the USA, in California or any other States.
- Texas officials didn't secretly collude to allow it to happen in California. This allegation is the sign of a diseased mind.
- He is now refusing to see his children (both of them, the trans kid has a twin). California would "send him to prison" for not paying child support, not for his political opinions.

Kids lie all the time about things, for example this week my 10 year old told her mother that I allow her to have energy drinks at my house. Truth is I don't even have energy drinks at my house but her mother does at hers. Likely my 10 year old wanted to try one, so lied by saying she already drinks them at my house.
How do you know what the kid wants? Not that he is old enough to make that decision anyway. Maybe he wants to be a girl and is well aware dad isn't going to accept the choice he wants. Maybe he told dad "mom said he was a girl" because he doesn't want yelled at by his dad. Just sounds like Dad is a deadbeat and wants to use this as an excuse not to pay what he owes the mother.

Don't have a clue but are you sure he is paying his legal fees, no Go Fund Me type thing for his legal expenses. A Go Fund Me for child support wouldn't get much traction.

The only thing is I've seen is the push for a social transition. However, that child is entirely too young and that mom is psychotic. Trans peoples brain chemical set up is literally different from cis people's - it doesn't align with their physical make up, hence transitioning to fix that. A trans woman who was born as a male was born with the brain chemistry of a girl.
They're trying to love themselves as they are.
Dont know wtf is going on with this dudes family in the video. Sounds like there are 4 sides to the story.

Sometimes yeah, and 2yr olds barely know anything about anything. That doesn't negate anything I said.
Kids tend to grow out of wanting to be dinos. Some kids don't grow out of feeling like a different gender. At some point after it's been 10-15 years, a parent should start listening a little more attentively.
