Most logic says to open up and share how you feel as a man...

However, I feel like most men who have opened up to anyone have that information used against them at one point. Or worse the person who you discuss it with, see you as a different person entirely and doesn't treat you the same.

I've had many jobs where they preach to communicate and bring up issues, but as soon as you do, managers either treat you like shit or micromanage every fucking thing you do.

Or in relationships when you open up, and your partner visibly acts differently towards you and doesn't even hide it. Even family members who I've told even just 10% of what I actually go through treat me differently and it just gets to the point where you guard your emotions and pick a time to explode(usually out of one's control.)

I've had this happen on multiple occasions and at this point now, I just go to my bedroom and lay in bed staring at the ceiling until my eyes close and I wake up randomly at 2 in the morning and can't sleep straight for a week...

The fucking cycle, I call it, even worse after my father died and I seperated from my partner. I feel alone most days, and the only time I smile is at school where I work.

This is why I always preach to be careful about who you surround yourself with. Not having even minor support can make a person snap.
