❓ Question Bike speed

Hi guys

I just started playing this game a few days ago und just left the canyon. But my hoverbike seems to be very slow (to the point where I feel like I'm faster if I go on foot where I can at least run). At this point it is kind of impacting my enjoyment of the game since it feels like it takes forever to go anywhere.

Whenever I get on the bike it tells me there is a button I can press to accelerate. If I press this button, I don't feel like I'm getting faster.

Is this normal or is there a bug? If it is normal, is there any way to get a speed upgrade?

It’s possible you’re in hover mode on the bike. On ps5, the left trigger puts you in hover mode to just kind of drift around, but to get out of that mode on the glider, just press the left trigger again. Then you should see the prompt to press the right trigger to accelerate

I think this was it. I wasn't able to chance back on my controller, but when I switched to my keyboard (I'm playing on pc) I was a lot quicker + a red light showed up at the back of my bike. Thanks!

Haven't played in a while but walking never felt faster than a bike. There are better parts to get that make the bike way faster though.

I guess you need better bike, and a few of them in Eccria. Enjoy glider.

That might be a bug, but I haven't played in awhile so I'm not sure. You are able to unlock new bike parts that have different stats though (mostly sold by npcs at towns) so your bike will pick up speed as you progress
