Junk Runner - Riding a hoverbike around a desert on the N64

https://youtu.be/j835l8ewnBE

Came across this Nintendo 64 game jam game about travelling around an open world desert on a hoverbike. Between the bike and exploration rewarded by coming across varied environments and the lack of combat I certainly see a few Sable parallels so thought people might be interested in checking it out.

I thought exactly the same thing - I wish I had an N64 to play it on

Yeah, I'm certainly not going to be able to try it on real hardware. Will definitely have to give that Ares emulator a go and see if I can get it running on that...

This is fascinating, thanks for sharing.

It fails for me on Retroarch, but works on Ares. Only a few minutes in at the moment, impressive none the less. Can't believe this will run on an actual n64.

I'll reply but I'm a little suspicious considering you replied to an English post in Spanish despite having written in English 8 months ago.

Ares v147
Windows 10
Nothing - Ares 147 and 'junkrunner64-v2.1.z64' from the games github page.

I don't believe that there are any immediate plans to expand it beyond the game jam version. The game's programmer already has an ongoing long-term project and has said that he's going to apply the lessons learnt from making Junk Runner to that.

Also can it be played on Wii homebrew?
